I agree 95% with you. I think we have the 2nd best drop tower. Any park that has a 140 foot ARM/Larson tower (Lake Winnie, for example) beats our drop tower any day of the week, in my opinion. Have you experienced them? What do you think about the Larson Super Shot towers?

Those are pretty insane. Drop towers seem to be the rare thing where the cheaper versions are the best. It seems entirely dependent on how fast the car is released and falls. The Larson towers fall like a rock.

I will say though Zumanjaro is the exception to that for me. I think it's incredible. It just feels like falling forever.

Agree completely. The combination of the 'dropping like a rock' along with not being able to look up and see how much further, along with the fact that it instantly drops when you get to the top instead of stalling just makes it insanely intense.

Let’s hope that by the time your vision of the future comes to fruition, we won’t need cars or parking decks. Here's a little help.

You would have to change the name to that place . . . nothing "Caro" about any of it.

Space area, Jungle area... Sounds familiar... Oh wait. Can anyone say Magic Kingdom?

If we get that, please hold the Alligators.

Hmm, Carolina Jungle....
Jungle Forest....Forest Jungle.
To some parts of the state, forested areas might seem like jungles, might be interesting theme for a wildlife themed section.
Copperhead Coil, Troika or spin and puke ride
Black Widow, Top Scan
Honeybee Dance - Breakdance
Cardinal Twirl - Wave Swinger
Jungle Train - Musik Express

Just wasting time tossing out ideas.

More doodles! :D This is my concept for Pirate Island:

Get Whitewater Attractions (who now owns Hopkins) to extend and enclose the top of Whitewater Falls. Get Triotech to build some sets inside with pirate-themed projection-mapping, and you've got yourself an Escape From Pompeii-esque water ride.

Southern Star and Peanuts Pirates get relocated to a grassy area by Carolina Cobra. Southern Star gets themed to the Queen Anne's Revenge, and in the tradition of bringing back old ride names, Peanuts Pirates get rethemed to "The Flying Dutchman." Wings moves to Chickie's and Pete's current spot, and Chickie's and Pete's becomes a full-service restaurant. The sports teams represented on the walls are ECU and Charleston Southern, both teams with pirates for mascots. The arcade would be relocated somewhere else in the park, and the building would house shops full of pirate-themed merchandise. The area would have water features and pirate actors, like in my original idea.

Not sure what I'd do the minigolf area. It could make a nice pond, but it is also a pretty good spot for some flat rides.

Here's how I would plan the next few coaster additions if I was in charge of doing so:

- 2018: Vortex floorless conversion. It would receive a repaint, retheme, and some additional elements (a misty tunnel, some trees close to the track, etc.). Obviously, it wouldn't be a contender for the best floorless out there, but it would go from being a mediocre coaster to being a solid one.
- 2019: "Thunder Road's Revenge," a 160 ft. tall dueling RMC. This would be the first major coaster addition to the park since Fury. I'd want this to happen sooner because the loss of Thunder Road would still be pretty fresh in people's minds, and marketing a coaster in this way could definitely pique some interest. While this would definitely be a thrill coaster, I'd also want it to appeal to families (to an extent) like Thunder Road did, so it would be comprised mainly of smaller airtime hills and banked turns with possibly one or two inversions on each side. Also, just like Thunder Road, the trains would race.
- 2023: "Enigma," a 180 ft. tall launched coaster - preferably manufactured by Mack (but would most likely be a B&M instead). Although I think we need another wooden coaster before we get a launch, we definitely do need a launch as well, and this would fit that bill nicely. I could see this as a sort of Helix+Maverick hybrid or a steel equivalent to Wildfire at Kolmarden. This would be a very high-intensity ride - likely the most intense coaster at the park.

With these additions, I think Carowinds would most likely be #2 in the Cedar Fair chain. I don't think it's likely that this will all happen, but I'd be happy if at least one of the two non-Vortex conversion additions came true to some extent.
