1. The capacity at the VR coaster at SFOT was awful. I actually thought the VR was really cool and even though overall it was not a great experience, if they can figure out how to run it better/more efficiently then I'd be in favor of it staying around in the industry.

2. EDIT: My computer problem is solved and I got the six flags discount code. I have no idea what the issue was or how I fixed it but it worked just now.

I know Jonathan, Jay, and Arby have been, but I visited a few weeks ago on the way to Holiday World. Camden is a decent old park with a good bit of history, charm, some classic flats, and the only credits to be found in West Virginia.

Some highlights:
Big Dipper - An ACE landmark and rare existing NAD coaster with original Century Flyers. Ride first in front, and then be sure to get the 2nd to last row (the far rear is blocked off) for a surprising bit of air in the mid-course. I won't spoil it by saying exactly where, but it caught me off guard!

Lil’ Dipper - Also with Century Flyers. Surprising leg room for a kiddie.

Slingshot - Brand new kiddie spinning coaster. Fun and mild and hey, it’s a credit.

Flying Scooters - These didn't snap for us, but do feel faster than ours.

The Whip - Originally built in Coney Island. Too bad it was down that day.

Haunted House - The highlight for me. I’m a big fan of Bill Tracy dark rides, and this is a good one. Recently rcdb controversially added it as a coaster, and technically it is, but it’s up to you whether or not to count it (my ‘undefined’ filter is currently off)…

Thanks, man! Now I want to go even more. So, we're planning a coaster trip for next week. We are going to Busch either Tuesday or Wednesday. Any recommendations for the rest of the trip. We thought about Dollywood. We thought about heading to Kentucky and doing Camden Park on the way to KK and Holiday World. We thought about heading north to Six Flags Great Adventure. Maybe even doing a Pennsylvania leg. Decisions, decisions. We have off all week, so that's not really an issue.

There sure is a lot of "we thought" in there..
Emphasis on the WE, since all this thinking and planning took place while I was only half awake..

You have no idea how close we were to doing that. We actually had an entire Pennsylvania trip planned out that included Knoebels, Kennywood, Waldameer, and all the little parks as well (Lakemont, Idlewild, etc) but changed it up. We're going to plan a whole week just for Pennsylvania in the near future. We already did Lake Winnie this year so we got our 'awesome small park' fix in. In the meantime, I've never been to Great Adventure and I need to get my El Toro credit.

EDITED TO ADD: We have Six Flags season passes this year and have no plans to renew them for next year so that certainly influenced the decision a bit.

The movie "Rollercoaster" is now on Blu-Ray

http://insidepulse.com/2016/06/23/blu-ray-review-rollercoaster/

"...Universal will never remake Rollercoaster. How can this be stated as a fact? Simply put, Universal is now in the amusement park industry. Do they really want audiences to fear that a mad bomber will be blowing up Dragon Challenge at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter? Of course not. Rollercoaster will never be replaced by a sleeker 21st Century version. Thankfully the film has been given a high definition upgrade that delivers the original Sensurround soundtrack that shock theater seats in the summer of 1977."

Kind of like Disney World jokes about alligators ("In the past, while passing the animals during the ride, captains would say tongue-in-cheek lines such as, "Do you know what the difference between the crocodiles and alligators are. The crocodiles are made of plastic and the alligators are made with fiberglass." have been stopped since the kid was recently killed by one...

So....
Kings Dominion was awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed the park today. We drove 5 hours there, and another 5 back. Rode all the coasters except Hurler (obviously). Rebel Yell is very smooth, I-305 was very intense and a great ride (but I still prefer Fury), Volcano was great, and Flight of Fear was... unexpected?

Anyways, it was a blast.

Mod edit - No apostrophe in Kings!
