When I was at KD the other day, Hurler looked like it was already retracked. All of the metal track was new copper track. Should have taken a photo....

^Copper is soft, I am pretty sure it is too soft for roller coaster track. A picture would have helped....

It's definitely not copper. Maybe rusted iron, but not copper.

Either that or it was from where the track was removed, and the un-weathered wood was showing from beneath.

I was there Monday and it's definitely a good layer of rust on the tracks. The typical SBNO look of a wood coaster.

Probably none because that coaster sux.

Sure, our Hurler is boring but Kings Dominion's is just downright awful. Honestly the worst coaster in the entire park from when I rode it last year. I'll take a boring coaster over a painful coaster any day.

I seriously doubt it because they have said that the ride will reopen next season. From what I've heard the ride failed to pass it's annual structural inspection which is why it's currently closed so that the park can remedy the situation in time for next season.

That's a worrisome statement, maybe it is similar to Skytower a couple seasons ago. I think someone said that Carowinds was waiting to replace the part until the next fiscal year or something similar.

Nope. I'm expecting GCI to come in and do a large-scale retracing (a.la Ghostrider), and a Soak City expansion.

Sorry for the double post, but Six Flags Great Adventure AND Six Flags Over Georgia appear to be getting Justice league dark rides. Over Georgia is going to have a GREAT dark ride lineup next year.
