Thanks guys! As long as I've got this misplaced confidence, I'd like to share an idea that I'm proud of (mainly because it isn't completely insane). It's a slight tweaking of the plaza that would end the terrifying reign of the art deco architecture:

A new, larger main gift shop would open in place of the Carowinds stage under the name of "The Emporium," the name of the original Carowinds gift shop. The exterior would feature a modern, but still classic-looking clock tower.
Papa Luigi's would open in place of the Carowinds Cafe (though I don't know how long it will be staying since it looks it was recently repainted).
Instead of placing the fountain behind the planter, the fountain would be constructed in place of the planter with a larger, more noticeable state line sign.
The current gift shop, Premiers, would be replaced with a Nascar-themed restaurant similar to the Nascar Sports Grille that closed at CityWalk. It sounds bad to add that it closed, but it could work at Carowinds because:
1. Charlotte is practically the heart of Nascar.
2. (The less important reason) It's in the direction of Intimidator.
The other shopping locations like Crave and Personali-Tees would get slight touch-ups. They just look a bit outdated compared to the rest of the park. The state line would be repainted gold, because it still feels like it isn't emphasized it enough. It's the only theme park in the country in two states, and it seems to be an afterthought than a selling point. It should be really in-your-face!
