Has anyone seen the albino squirrel running around Carowinds?

I never saw it until this past weekend, it ran right in front of me in Anim. Station.

I know this is a silly thread, but I was just curious if anyone had seen it. I found this pic on the internet of it, unless there's more than one running around PC. lol

Actually....I saw it this past weekend also (sunday). It was in AS and it seemed very people-friendly. I was gonna get a snap of it but by the time I got my camera out it was already up in a tree..........

I've never seen that type squirrel before, and believe me, I see them every single day. Neat pic though!!!!

Yes, I have pictures of him too. It's amazing that he has survived the raptors because of his inability to camouflage himself.

Carowinds is the only place that I have seen white squirrels. Carowinds has some freaky squirrels, albino or not. They aren't so quick to run away from people as squirrels outside the park. I had one a few years back walk straight at me in the county fair section...and I had to step out of HIS way. I literally thought the squirrel was mad with rabies or something.

FYI about our rodent friends.

There are actually quite a few albino squirrels within the park. You see albino squirels a lot when you have a "park" like setting with lots of foot traffic. Wooded college campuses usually have a pretty good number of albinos as well.

They really are interesting animals though - the first time I saw them I was quite surprised.

Squirrels that are around people all the time are like that.

I went to King's College and used to eat outside at the picnic tables in the park near Presbyterian Hospital. They would jump up on the table and just sit there and look at you like "ok wheres my handout?". lol

That also Happened to me one morning this season. It was in County Fair @ TOp Gun Exit right at the Bottom of the stairs
