Just for a little insight. Maverick is one of the best coasters on earth. TTD had some shards of the cable fly up yes. TTD may be one of the most unreliable coasters. I am ok with that. With how big that thing is and how innovative I am sure it may be hard to keep it running like a b&m. As for millennium force......I have never hard of what you speak of. I have seen it get stuck on the lift hill a couple times but fixed same day. Millennium Force and Maverick as never not running when I go unless it is raining. Wicked twister is also a ride that is never down. Maverick is about as reliable and any b&m. I go to cedar point every other weekend so I get my fair share or insight on all makes of coaster. With Mean Streak being the one down the most. I understand why people do not like Intamin but hey its all an opinion and my top 3 coasters of all time are Intamins and they are the best. I am just a coaster junky who loves the fastest and tallest. Maverick is my fav because it is awesome!!!

They had to alter a support because you could touch it if you wanted to.

Out of 138 coasters, Maverick is the greatest coaster I have ever ridden. But it takes a lot less than rain to get that thing down. I wasted all my ERT time last Wednesday waiting for it to open. (I ended up getting out of line and leaving). It went down numerous other times throughout my visit as well. I don't think I've seen a B&M with the amount of downtime it has. I have to differ on Wicked Twister's reliability also. Both times I visited (granted I may have had bad luck) it was down a reasonable amount of time.

Please don't take all this as us hating Cedar Point or it's rides though, as that's not at all what we're saying. We've got our fair share of Carowinds complaints as well.

It must be a luck thing haha.....I know no one would hate on any Cedar Fair parks. Every coaster is going to have its faults. Heck when I went this year Valravn was down for about an hour. I would just like to see Intamin come back with vengeance and rule the sky again! That's just me and I hope they revamp whatever they were doing wrong. I just can't wait to ride Fury!!!! haha Nighthawk looks like its going to make me dizzy haha. Watching the POV on line I am like can't watch. I am sure its the same as Firehawk at kings island.

I can say B&Ms have their share of downtime. I spent all day Sunday at Carolina Harbor watching Fury and Intimidator run their course. When it came time to leave, I thought.. "Hey, I'll run over and ride Fury before I leave." Well,l guess what.. Fury AND Intimidator were BOTH down. I couldn't believe my luck.

My luck got worse because as I walked to my car, I saw Fury was running again. arrrgh. I never saw Intimidator back up before we got out of sight of the park.

The reason for the down time in the long run makes a difference. We're there protene spills during those quick down times? B&M uptime is far higher than nearly any intamin. That's not an opinion, it's a statement of fact.

As for Maverick, one of my personal faves, I dunno what maverick has "about" the same uptime as a B&M because I know for a fact they've had significant down time the last two years. In fact, the ride was down at least a week early in the season fur a blown motor, and didn't come back up till around Memorial Day.

I like riding intamin rides. But CF is unlikely to work with them fir a while, if ever. Disney has basically said they won't. Six Flags is working with them less.

And why would they when B&M makes high quality, high capacity rides, RMC makes rides as good or more thrilling than intamin (and us diversifying their offerings), and Mack seems to believing up more overseas contracts that used to go to intamin.

Besides, when most people say they love Intamin, what they really mean is they love the layout. Which isn't even done by Intamin, but by Stengle. Mack works with Stengle. As do others. And I'd dare say RideCenterline, who designs for RMC (and recently also Intamin) is just as good at designing layouts as Stengle.

I do not want to be rude but everything you said is an opinion. Just saying. I do not like it just because the layout. I like it for the power.

Do not want to start that argument because its a never ending one haha

B-but... but the layout is what gives you that power...

No, everything I said was not opinion. It was either fact, because I've been told as much, or statements based on fact.

And as far as 'power', if all maverick did was launch down a straight piece of track with no layout, it wouldn't be much of a ride.

It's just that when I think of awesome theming, I think of Universal/Disney/Busch/Europa. The theming in Carolina Harbor is good compared to the rest of the park, and even impressive for a corporate regional park. But it's pretty average in the grand scheme of things. And that's fine. As long as the theme of the Carolinas is obvious and present, I don't need Orlando-level theming.
