Bingo. And we have to be constantly reminded in every video, in every comment section, and on every forum that they're swearing off the park forever because they didn't get what they wanted. They're the most insufferable, ungrateful fans in the theme park world. :x

Sorry for steering the thread off topic, I just needed to rant.

I thought it was pretty much decided that 'Rome wasn't built in a day' referenced the park expansion, new entrance, etc., and not Fury 325 specifically. It was teasing towards all the ongoing changes we have been seeing to make Carowinds a destination park and the fact that it doesn't happen overnight, or in a single season.

The 'jam' clearly means something. We may not know until after the announcement but it is at least an obscure hint, even if it only refers to 'jamming' as in music, and yet another reference they've been making to new shows or something along that line.

Or, we could be the new Caro-berry Farm with our own line of food products....

I think those posters invoke images of Classic Americana and country/county fairs. Where you would show off your prize winning jams.

Stepping in for a second . . .
I personally feel the jar of jam near the word "jam" is just a play on words and has no significant meaning or clue other than, as said, something you would find at a fair where people show off their prized jams and jellies.

***DISCLAIMER*** This was not posted to give myself a false sense of self-importance and desperate desire for attention. I get enough of that in real life.

Stepping back out . . .

Re: KD - man did we have to hear it when they got Dominator (we got Cobra) and they got i305 when we got i232.

Glad we are in the sunshine for the time being. Hopefully the park keeps growing. (and I'm happier we got Fury over i305)

So rumor time: the park's PR manager posted a jar of jelly she got from Knott's on her Twitter Account.... adds a little substance to those JAM posters.

County Fair overhaul top to bottom is my inclination.

I met Mayor Higginbothom and Granny in the park last year.

Could the phrases "charged up," "vault," and "fast as electricity" imply a launched coaster of some sort? Usually they wait 5 years between coasters. And would you rather see a launched winged coaster like Holiday World or something like Maverick? Haven't really heard reviews of Thunderbird, but perhaps it is more intense than Gatekeeper or Wild Eagle.

If people dig too deep, who cares. It's not hurting you. Carowinds put out teasers for fun, why try to ruin that for others?

Well Famous Amos and a few other insiders obviously have some inside information or a good idea. But of course they can't really comment yet and I understand that. So I eagerly await Aug. 18th and meanwhile will continue to speculate.

...back on topic....

The more I hear from the teasers, the more it does seem to point to some kind of county fair/Americana/RFD expansion.

Keen observations, TylerSC. At this point, I wouldn't hold anything past Cedar Fair. I find it highly unlikely it's going to be five more years before we get a new coaster. With that being said, I doubt we're getting a new coaster in 2017. They could surprise us, though, with a compact coaster that doesn't take a large footprint. A nice Premier Sky Rocket II like Phobia Phear would fit nicely in the park. While the ride was short, that helped keep the line moving along.

Sorry, I'm one of the guilty people. As far as winged coasters go, Thunderbird is a great winged coaster and better than any other wing coaster I have ridden. It felt like it kept up its momentum better than any of the others. With that being said, it's still not a top 20 coaster for me. While I would rather not have a winged coaster at Carowinds, I'd take a launched one like Thunderbird any day.

TylerSC pulled out some information that made him suspect something launched possibly.

Listening to the phone clues as well as all the other clues, I have an updated guess of what is coming next year.

To start with, I'm still surprised that everybody is essentially ignoring the roadwork in the woods behind Hurler. Based on that information, and Granny's comments about living in the woods, I think they are expanding the park behind Fury 325 and Hurler and moving County Fair there. In that new section, reachable by the path beside Drop Tower, will be a collection of rides, including some of the new refurbished old ones as well as one or two other new rides. (per the Mayor 'a mixture of old and new). The bumper cars will be relocated to the new area and there will be a lot of prep work in the old County Fair for what's coming in 2018/19.

The only thing I couldn't fit into the mix was the Mayor saying 'thank you for your boat, I mean vote, this year.' or something to that effect. Along with the hints that TylerSC thought might be a launched coaster, perhaps the boat hint is a water coaster in the area where TR's station was. That might constitute the Mayor's comments of a mixture of old and new.

Maybe a pipescream is what the launch is reffing to as for a height attraction that I think could be jammed into the skyline I think a sky roller would be it and something big clue I'm thinking a mondial revolution would be it
Also just seen a arrial view photo on Facebook I don't see any road work happening
