Well that's unfortunate.

I'm guessing you didn't see it before hand. The front plaza is much nicer now.

Just noting that Carowinds has it at both entrances and one of them are pre-Cedar Fair.

I love International Street, I just think the castle ticket booths look kind of tacky. But that's just my opinion.

Kings live in castles . . .

To me it's always looked tacky in a wonderful 1970s sort of way. I would probably agree that objectively it doesn't look that great (you wouldn't design something like that now), but it really fits the park and is part of what I love about Kings Dominion, which is that it retains its original character better than perhaps any of the other Paramount parks.

Canada's Wonderland seems like it took the least damage from Paramount. Kings Dominion is probably second in that regard, with CGA being in the middle, and Carowinds and Kings Island being tied for the largest amount of damage.

Yeah, Big Dipper is my 'Thunder Road' - my first wooden coaster that I grew up loving to ride. I wish they would just get rid of it all together finally. :(

^As long as the wooden structure has been sitting with out maintenance and being taken over by maintenance the wood has to be beyond repair. Odds are if they Big Dipper were finally moved very little if any of the wood would be used in the structure.

That said if someone was to decide to relocate the Big Dipper I would be more than happy to see the ride get new life.
