Yeah, me too, but as you said, it has been sitting too long. I have not doubt that it is beyond repair.

At long as the structure remains, people will continue mentioning it making me sad so I wish they would just bulldoze it so we can forget about that Big Dipper. :D

Other than Phoenix, relocated wooden coasters rarely use much of the original wood structure, so had Big Dipper been moved, it likely would only have been the mechanics of the ride anyways. All of which I'm sure are rusted and damaged.

I loved me some Dipper but I do wish they'd just bulldoze the place.

Kings Dominion is getting a Planet Snoopy expansion. And a Pre-K pass. Oh, this is rich! Can't wait to see the KD fans explode.

Great. Another year of hearing the KD fan boys whine. Can't say I really blame them, but still.. They take it to a whole 'nother level.

Would've been nice to get Hurler fixed up, though.

The comments on the LIVE video had my dying of laughter, from "Well looks like Busch Gardens is a winner" to "I love Carowinds now " to all the mad face emojis floating across the screen to "KD is becoming Michigan's Adventure. " I thinking, at least you all are getting something. Now the pre-K pass ehhh I guess. lol

I was watching the live feed by In The Loop and they asked about Hurler and they were told there was only so much that can be announced in one day. While that may be the"PC" thing for them to say, I don't see them having another major announcement like this. Perhaps they do plan to just retrack it themselves with no major hoopla. I know people are mad......lol

The KD announcement was a complete joke so I can kinda see where the KD fanboys are coming from, however, I was laughing and I don't really feel sorry for them. Ungrateful people get what they deserve. I just hope that all of us on this forum never become as ungrateful as them. It's okay to be upset about an addition but don't completely objectify to it because it's not a new coaster.

A cheaper ticket for ages 3-5.

It's actually free admission for 3-5.

Exactly. I'm glad us 'Carowinds fanboys' were appreciative of what we are getting, even though it was essentially what we suspected was coming (other than moving County Fair).

Even though I am a coaster enthusiast, an amusement park is not all about coasters.... KD already has a good selection.

Part of me feels bad for them because the announcement was a bit overhyped, but the other part of me wants to jump off a bridge so I don't have to hear anymore whining.

Hopefully they get that coaster they've been waiting for a century on. But Cedar Fair must not see that much potential for growth in the VA market.

The pre-k is free from what I see on their site. Not sure why they would give out free admission to their target market for the expansion.

Didn't the incentives Cedar Fair wanted for KD get turned down around the same time they went to Charlotte for incentives?
