The pre-k is free from what I see on their site. Not sure why they would give out free admission to their target market for the expansion.

Didn't the incentives Cedar Fair wanted for KD get turned down around the same time they went to Charlotte for incentives?

Busch Gardens Tampa did the same thing when they added Sesame Street Safari Of Fun. They still offer it some years. This year they didn't. SeaWorld Orlando still offers it however.

Hurler is getting fixed up. That's why it's currently closed. They announced that this past spring.

How? How was it overhyped? Almost every teaser showed snoopy in it. You know who overhyped it, fanboys and girls with their pipe dreams.

Welp, time to unsubscribe from Coaster Studios, as it seems the bulk of the whining is coming from him and his fan base.

Before you ask me why I subscribed in the first place, just remember that I'm not very smart.

Excuse me. Should've specified.. Would've been nice if Hurler got a proper fixing by way of RMC treatment. Would've been cool to have one so close.

Let's see how CF's first RMC goes in 2018 and if it goes well, perhaps the larger parks like Carowinds and KD will get a Woody from them soon...

^"Larger parks like Carowinds and KD"
That rules out KI, CW, CP, Knotts, Carowinds and KD. Is WOF smaller or larger?
Dorney just redid their only wooden coaster, Valleyfair hasn't gotten a coaster since Cosmic Coaster and Renagade. I would be stunned if they tested RMC at MiA....

Not where she lives. It's an hour to KD or six hours to Dollywood.

^What the heck are you even saying? Outside of Cedar Point, Carowinds, Kings Dominion, Kings Island, and Wonderland have a lot of unused space and the attendance to match. How does that rule those parks out?

When coupled with your statement about the larger parks does it not rule them out for the first CF RMC for 2018?
Are you not implying that one of the smaller parks than Carowinds and KD will be the one that gets the first CF RMC?

What he is saying is . . . its pretty much locked where the first RMC will go. If that goes well, then one of the larger parks (in the chain) may get one. he did not say a small park was getting one. he did not even mention the size of the penisula . . .I mean park.

It made perfect sense to me because obviously 3-5 year olds can't go by themselves, so they will get money from their parents' tickets (and older siblings and grandparents and aunts/uncles/cousins, etc.) If I had a kid 3-5 I probably wouldn't bring them to a park (honestly I love working with kids but not before age 5. They are way too needy.) but if it was free then I would. So they'll get more business I'm sure. Plus when people get a good deal (or even if they just think they do) they'll tell all their friends. I'm sure this will generate a lot of positive attention from families.

Cedar Point's GM talks Mean Streak...

...Speaking of thrill rides: McClure was coy when asked about the future of Mean Streak, Cedar Point's massive wooden coaster that will close next month.

Roller coaster fans are hoping that instead of being torn down, Mean Streak will be converted into a new ride – a so-called hybrid coaster with a wood frame and steel track.

McClure said any announcement of what will replace Mean Streak will come after the ride's last operating day, Friday, Sept. 16, the opening night of HalloWeekends.

"We'll string it out for a while," said McClure. "We like that people are curious."

He added, "The only thing I can tell you right now is that we won't disappoint you with what we do back there."
