General Carowinds discussion

Carowinds would be perfect in my opinion if we had......

Jump 2
Frisbee
Screaming swings
Top spin
Bring Gauntlet back
A launched coaster

That's it for now.

^^^ would love the see a log flume but would much prefer it be more permanent and not look like one that's portable and they can set up in 6 days at a fair. Again with the hills (and SOME trees) already in place near Afterburn, it would fit nicely there if we can ever send that meteor in and kill off the dinos. New log flume in the dino crater and a new woodie in the old County Fair.

Seriously. I don't think I've heard anyone say anything positive about those frikkin dinosaurs, ever. How much money could the park possibly be making from them that it warrants sacrificing that much land?

No comprendo.

Last pipe dream of the summer!

So this next idea is a tweak of my original concept for the Showplace. I present to you the revitalized Carolina Showplace!
Shield your eyes.

My original concept included changing the pathway to Vortex, the relocation of RRR's entrance, and a resting space where Papa Luigi's currently is. The new concept would keep those thing, and introduce three things:

Image

The Sound Circus would return in place of the fountain pad in front of Vortex. It would host music shows like it did in the 70's, along with a variety of different shows.

Next, Rip Roarin' Rapids would see some major changes:

The ride would be renamed "Ringo Racoon's River Adventure," and it would reintroduce the park's original characters. The characters would be singing animatronics littered across the ride's layout, and the ending section would be enclosed. The ride experience would be sort of like a hybrid between Monster Mansion and Popeye Rapids. The current boats would be replaced with higher capacity rafts from Whitewater Attractions.

The third thing would be more spontaneous entertainment. There would be several street performers, similar to the ones you would find in downtown Asheville.

This would really turn the area into a true "showplace" and not just a place located near a theater. :D

Last night I had a dream that the park built a 462 foot tall launched RMC Iron Box track coaster...

I bet it wasn't open at the time...
But it looked awesome!

Not to mention that if they used wood for the support structure, it wouldn't have been feasible.

I love the fact that it has saucers. Put something like that in Carolina Harbor and you've got a world-class water park.

Exactly. In all honesty, this is probably the best addition in all of Six Flags for 2017.

Alas . . . we would probably never experience something like this a Carowinds.

Well, Capacity really plays a large part at cedar fair parks especially as I was advised. And unfortunately, water coasters have low hourly capacity with only 3-4 people every few minutes or so. Which is kinda why Holiday park got 2 in such a small time frame.
