Seems to me that water coasters have HIGHER capacity than most water slides. Holiday World cranks people through their water coasters pretty fast. They have multiple boats loading at once on a moving conveyor. It has a blocking system so they can have multiple rafts on the course at a time. That's not the case with any of the existing slides at Carowinds.

I hear what you are saying but most water coasters you climb to the top and wait for the raft. I feel the conveyor belt slides do reduce the "wait" time as you are going up to the top. They have blocking? Of the ones I have been on, they wait until the one raft finishes the course before sending another down. One thing regular slides have going for them is the fact that the same line generally leads to 2 or more slides.

I would love for Carowinds to have one, as I lobbied for it when the guessing phase for carolina harbor was going on but from my "understanding" for the mechanics involved (price) the capacity isn't that desirable. Which is kinda why its only one in the chain.

This one that we are talking about you don't appear to climb to the top though. They have blocking just like any roller coaster. I'm not completely sure how it works but I assume the LIMs or water jets cut off and don't shoot the raft up the next hill if the previous raft has failed to clear the block. It really seems to me that the capacity is higher than anything that exists today at Carolina Harbor.

The rocket blast/flying saucer on pro slides website say it's 540 people per hour compared to a normal bowl slide its 360 people per hour and a single drop pod is say 160

I think that it's highly likely that we'll see a water coaster within the next two years. Probably even in the back of the water park behind the new wave pool or in that general area... or maybe in front of the wave pool in that plot of land... or maybe it's just a pipe dream.

I've ridden multiple I don't have that problem I just have problems with body slides those screws hitting my back ouch

California great America is planning on renovating its entire park and showed plans for a master blaster and drop pods so they are probably going to see how well it does there then see if they can clone it
