Well I was hoping to have a review of Mako @ Seaworld Orlando. However after waiting in line for about 75 minutes, an announcement stating technical difficulties with temporary delay came over the speakers. I was one level below the station (approx 5 train wait). My nephew and I waited it out for about 45 minutes when a live person came over the system and informed us the ride would not reopen. By then the park was closing anyway. There were several people upset. Some asking a ride attendant who they needed to speak to about getting a front-of-the line access pass for their next visit.

If it had just been my partner and I at the park I would have ridden it first thing or at least much earlier. It's the price you pay when going with family. I hate the park closed at 6 but Mako likely would not have reopened anyway later.

When it first went down we saw test both trains. Not sure why the 3rd wasn't being used considering the park was fairly busy...like NYE or Spring Break busy. They were using the overflow lot across the way with trams. Anyways they stopped the 2nd train on the MCBR then they released it and it finished the course. I then noticed the lift hill chain was stopped. Maybe I should have taken that as a sign it wasn't gonna be back up.

We couldn't see what happened on the final brakes. Apparently an air compressor burst...that's how they worded it anyways. My niece who was waiting near the ride exit said she heard a loud pop when a train hit the brakes.
So oh well...next time.

Sorry to hear that gator. I’ll give it a mini-review since I was there last week for HHN.

As far as B&M hypers go, I think Mako is best in its class. Great first drop, exciting 2nd element (it’s scarier than it looks), loads of airtime, barely noticeable trims, inventive and interactive with the park after the MCBR, and it’s next to (gasp), WATER. In other words, sorry Intimidator. It’s that good.

And as Jarvis pointed out, maybe one of the best footers ever.

My partner took some pics of a guy working on it. If I had kept my phone with me he could have called me to tell me what was happening and I might have left the line and rode Kraken. The only thing I did ride was Shamu's Express with my niece....lol At least I live about 90 minutes from the park so I'll be back soon (around Christmas/NYE most likely).

OMG I can't believe this is happening! Currently in line for Lightning Rod, my first RMC. Line is insanely long and I don't understand why Dollywood doesn't include it on the Time Saver pass. Either way I am so happy right now!

I haven't been since June, it will be next year before I ride roller coasters.
