They only put the star on top of the skytower. Are they going to put up
the rest of the "tree"? It's always so neat to see the giant "Christmas tree"
made from lights strung down from the skytower.

Also-
Have the Eagles landed yet? Whenever we ride by we always look for evidence
of change or something new. Wondering when they will arrive and where they will be placed.

I read somewhere that the park stopped putting lights on the Skytower a few years ago. (I normally don't drive that far out of Charlotte when the park is closed, so I wouldn't know)

^^I was thinkin' the lights were on the tower last year Duke. My memory is startin' to fade a little.

The lights were not on the skytower last year. I was very upset about that but they said is was because of Borg construction so now i expected them to return this year.

I wonder what their reason for this year is.

I doubt it was b/c of BORG. The Skytower is far enough away. On top of that all construction stops around Christmas, so they could put them up.

I think construction was only stopped for the week of Christmas, Not sure it was the whole month. Plus at the bottom of the tower the flare out enough to be in the way of Borg construction.

Ok Coaster Chris, I will agree with you on this one! Yes, due to the construction and the present day location of Borg, the park is unable to add the "tree lights" to the Sky Tower as in years past. Yes, it was always nice to see the tree driving by on December nights, but you coster junkies need to remember that the tree isn't there because of your wonderful black and green roller coaster B)

I'm sure they could still put of the tree. The coaster can't be that much of an obstruction. I'm sure it was durring construction but i don't see how it plays a part now.

I've never actually seen the sky tower lit up like a tree, but I have seen pictures of it. It'd be so cool if they did do it this year, but times running out.

Even though I live 4-6 hours away I still would drive there to see it.
