I have to think if not 2018 then 2019 but Planet Snoopy needs some ride updating. Snoopys Junction needs a relocation. Need to add 4-5 more kiddie rides to that area maybe some kind of play structure.

Relocation to where? They can't make the curves much tighter(if at all) than they are and every time they mess with the layout it gets smaller. From un-named source, Jerry Helms is a large part of why Carowinds still has Snoopy's Junction.

(Daydreaming)
However I would love to see the track get longer again. Maybe a layout like Kings Island where runs between Carolina Harbor and the new County Fair, my vision would require a railroad crossing or bridge between Surfers Swell and Blackbeards Revenge.

A tunnel between the two slides could be cool too, maybe some lighting effects. (/daydreaming)

That would be great. Let Snoopys Junction go around the parameter of where DA is now and fill in the middle with new rides.

Geesh roller, I can't handle all this top secret, classified, unnamed source info. If the person who told you that gets exposed, that nondisclosure they signed would be the end of them . . . Blabbing all that Intel.

^My source isn't a current Cedar Fair employee and wasn't a Carowinds/Cedar Fair employee when the information was passed to me.

The White Water area makes sense for this to be a new attraction for the dry park.

Why? Because Carolina Harbor already has a TON of room for future development NOT including that piece of real-estate.

That part of the park doesn't have any coasters and if they put the entrance in the OLD County Fair section then that would draw people back to that area.

Why would they tear down White Water in Feb of 2017 for a new water slide in 2018?

Doesn't add up right...

It's definitely a little fishy, but it just seems too soon to shout coaster for me. *Fingers crossed* We'll see a GCI (or even a RMC now) in that spot this time next year.

What roller posted is hardly Intel. You just have to talk to uncle Jerry. He loves his job and likes to talk about it.

^ and ^^

I agree. Certainly anything is possible, but the pieces seem to be adding up to a new coaster. The new area of Carolina Harbor feels downright barren; there is so much space to expand over there. The plot being opened up by removing these rides is fairly large. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I could see a new GCI woodie that borders the waterpark in a sort of throwback to Thunder Road manner.

And seeing as how CF just put Dinos Alive in their long term plans for Great America, along with other rumblings I've heard, Dinos likely isn't going anywhere.

If I were a betting man I'd say our next new coaster is wood and going to revitalize the last area in the park that needs it. I just wouldnt bet on when it's going to happen because I hear a lot of stuff around here that's based off of alternative facts lol.

Now, if we get our own version of Whats in the Shed, assuming it all works, I'll be really excited :-).

I guess we can all agree that something is definitely coming to that area. You dont rip out a perfectly good ride and clear land this early if you dont have plans for something else that will require more than an offseason to finish. They did something similar when they built Intimidator and cleared out the log flume way early. I think Yo Yo's days are numbered. I have a feeling that the bumper cars may get relocated somewhere in the new county fair area. Should open that area up quite a bit. Hopefully they do some grading in that area.

^You are forgetting or atleast not mentioning something new. I assume by not mentioning it you think it is staying put?

PvZ truly is a black swan in this scenario. I've been really curious as to why it's there instead of just grading that whole area.

It was actually a maintenance nightmare and has been kind of known to be on the chopping block for at least a couple years now, actually.

What are you even talking about?
