General Carowinds discussion

While this is off topic in this thread, I thank you for any feedback received. I have been a bit lax in allowing freedom of discussion but at times it has quickly escalated. I'm not calling out anybody specifically, just saying that I am going to work harder to enforce it and ensure that we have cordial discussion that is not uncomfortable to anybody.

This is just a quick reminder for everybody to follow our Code of Conduct which will be more stringently enforced from this point forward.

Thank you and please keep all arms and legs inside the ride vehicle at all times.

I didn't start going until 2013. I thought it was a new ride because they had grand opening for it, I'm going off memory. I did a search just now and found it was refurbished 2013, the year it looked brand new with an opening ceremony

I kinda feel like in 2018 we will see either a wooden coaster or log flume in the WWF area or a Planet Snoopy expansion.

I can see this as well! The park needs a new water ride for sure.

The park also needs a good wooden coaster with a 48" height requirement.

2019 can be Planet Snoopy.
We already have one of the best kid areas in the chain.

I think we used to, the absence of Road Rally and Log Flume puts us below KI, KD and CP atleast. I dare say CW is higher also, Planet Snoopy needs some love but I agree with the rest of your post.

I think Planet Snoopy is a beautiful area and its one of the nicest PS areas. The shade in the area plays a big part. I also like how most of the rides in the area are family rides that everyone can enjoy together. However, Planet Snoopy could use at least 2-3 more rides in its area. They can also add some comic strips & statues to the area. That would be a nice little touch up. Kings Dominion's Planet Snoopy is #1

Subtle hinting. It's almost guaranteed at this point. This is also the 25th year of Vortex!

I think Vortex will be a fun little floorless coaster! For those that have been on Rougarou, would you consider the capacity to be better?
I also hope it gets a really cool lighting package, I wonder how hard/expensive it would be to retrofit something like The Monster on to it.

While I can't say that I ever rode Mantis, I did ride Rougarou, and it's capacity was VERY good. Even though Rougarou can run 3 trains, I think a floorless conversion on Vortex would help it's capacity quite a bit.

Carowinds making a big deal over a ride's birthday is nothing new. They did it with Afterburn and Nighthawk three years ago.

I think some type of GCI Woodie may come into the WWF area. I don't know if it will be record-breaking or not, but I know it will be a good coaster, whenever we get it. Cedar Fair wants to make Carowinds a coaster mecca, remember. And Cedar Point just got a coaster, Cedar Point just got one, Dollywood just got one, KD is about to get one in 2018 and Seaworld in FL just got a new coaster. It would just make sense for Carowinds to get a new GCI woodie because first of all, it's something we need and second of all, Carowinds is planned to be a coaster mecca. That's just my two cents. :) :) :)

P.S. I just got back...I knew I was away for way too long.
