They got a perfectly good ride in tip top shape . . . paint and all. Why spend money on something that isn't "broken"? Knott's version MAY get the paint job in the concept art but hey, things can change.

^ That cell tower was built about the last week of Scarowinds last year. There is a county fair time lapse video on You Tube and it can be seen being built.

I think it would be genius if they took advantage of #ThrowBackThursday and have Media day next Thursday. Throwback rides, Throwback Thursday . . . It practically writes itself!

Media day is Thursday. We will have a couple folks there to cover on social media (no wider invite this year that I'm aware; I think it is a smaller affair). Then season pass preview on Friday.

EDIT: Scratch this. Media day has been postponed as they still anticipate having work to get done.

So did they remove the planter that held they original sign in it? I sort of do have mixed emotions about the signing in this area. It seems kind of errrr 6Flag-ish to me. All in all the area is shaping up nicely. Hopefully the Top Scan gets some color to it.
