Absolutely blown away by County Fair, just incredible what they did to that space. I honestly forgot I was in Carowinds. Rock n Roller's theming is phenomenal, probably the best in the whole area. The way Do Si Do swoops over the midway really added to the experience and Zephyr was fun as well. Can not wait to go back next week and ride Electro Spin (hopefully).

The way the park managed to turn an area that had always been seen as nothing more than a walkway to get you from Point A to Point B, into one of the best areas of the park just blows my mind.

Some Other Notes:

- Panda Express has more food options, the honey walnut shrimp is my new favorite.

- Metal detectors are sadly here to stay as new permenant structures have been built to cover them.

- Whoever at Carowinds that said Cyclone is getting new restraints is a big fat phony.

- Old WWF area is completely fenced off but the gazebo remains.

- I love Fury

I think it was roller and USCfan that were saying they were sure the wrapped parts were for cyclone when arby stated the park said the wrapped parts were for WWF.

When the new web site launched I pointed out this "Equipped with a new harness restraint system and new paint job, the Carolina Cyclone is still a fan-favorite." And I see it is still there. Guess that is partially where the confusion came from. Sorry

I never said that the parts meant Cyclone was getting new restraints, I said that the parts were the car frames for Cyclone or Cobra upside down.

Carowinds.com has said Cyclone was getting new restraints before this site upgrade.

^This is true, I was referring to whoever wrote that on the website. Although the body of the trains did look different with all except the lead car having flat faces.

As far as the horse: horses are a fixture of county fairs, being judged and/or used in entertainment. Horses are also a big thing in my area of western NC.

To anyone who attended last night.....did Rock n Roller have any kind of music blasting like one would find at an actual county fair?

I rode it this morning. The County Fair I went to last had similar music to Rock N Roller. Of the three I think Do-Si-Do is my favorite.
