Reminds me of that flat that BGW use to have before they took it out for AC. The Sea Dragon? It was very fun and I hated that they took it out. If that's what the park is getting, I'm there.

That would make since as PCW removed their Sea Storm for Tomb Raider. Maybe the go-kart is going to replace the railroad. Surely, they ain't renaming the Ghoster Coaster.

replace the railroad....... <_< yeah, right. And why wouldnt they not rename ghoster coaster? Did the same person who confirmed that the boat was comming back next year tell you that bit of info?

Well, I was just focusing on Animation Station since that is the 2005 focus. I doubt Carowinds will remove Hanna-Barbera cartoons like Scooby-Doo and Yogi. They are the most well known HB cartoons. Kids do know who Scooby-Doo is, and they still watch Scooby-Doo.

Ok ok i get it now, your talking about jellystone railroad. But sad to say im like 98% sure that the animation station will no longer exist. But thats just my speculation.

Does anyone else feel the same way

I'm 99% sure it will last. If they are giving it a overhaul.

I am 75% sure that the Hanna-Barbera cartoons will stay. I just don't see Carowinds without them. I do not see a go-kart track fitting in Animation Station as I don't see any of the rides being removed. I think there is still a third ride we don't know about. I would not be surprised if WhiteWater Falls is removed and the go-kart track placed there. Afterall, the falls failed to operate half the season in 2003, and had problems on Labor Day. Not to metion ridership is low.

Well im not picking at your post but just pointing some things out.......(like we are having a friendly debate :D )

Well the same can be said about the sternwheeler. Its pretty obvious that carowinds is like top heavy when it comes to business and not all that big on "tradition". Although it would be nice to see them stay the generation that were really into them are slowy fading and now everything is about nick toons. When was the last time you saw a brand new elroy action figure on the shelf at your local wal-mart?...but then again what do I know? **UPDATE** scooby is only one character. And needless to say an exception. What im getting at is when was their a new attraction themed to a HB character anywhere?

I do not see a go-kart track fitting in Animation Station as I don't see any of the rides being removed.

Well it isnt official as to where the karts will go  , but I wouldnt count on them going in the newly expanded Nick Central. As far as the rides some rides being removed, well im gonna be quiet about that ;) .....but then again, what do I know?

I think there is still a third ride we don't know about.

I personally dont think the park has announced half of what is being done to the park next year. paramount parks have raised the bar in a sense because more and more people are starting to travel and in order to attract them sometimes you have to get a complete make over (hey it worked for Anna! Like my boooooodyyyy)....but then again, what do I know?

I would not be surprised if WhiteWater Falls is removed and the go-kart track placed there. Afterall, the falls failed to operate half the season in 2003, and had problems on Labor Day. Not to metion ridership is low.

That must be some serious construction crew because they started land clearing of BORG in aug. so I HIGHLY doubt that will happen. Its funny because everytime I went to the park WWF was up and operating rain or sun. granted not every boat was full but w/ continious circuts and pretty good capacity there shouldn't be a line for that ride....but then again, what do I know?

Hey, I would love to be proven wrong, sometimes.......

Point to Coasterbruh, Here is my point. Scooby-Doo is still in stores, I can prove that as I had a Scooby-Doo Christmas.

Hmmm.........

Topic started nicley but ending ugly.

Gentlemen, go to your corners and when you here the bell, turn around and exit the ring please.

I hope the "new area under construction" comes out better than any other Paramount park regardless of what names, themes they keep or loose.
