Yes, the park gave out that information during Coaster events.

Thunder Road has nothing to do with the new County Fair but the Slidewinder wasn't removed simply because it was in the way. I am sure they looked at ridership and costs.

I worked for Cedar Fair and Paramount Park, I also worked for Palace Enterainment.

That was 10 to 12 years ago.

Cedar Fair took over in June of 06 so if it was 12 years ago you didn't work for.them. And what does palace entertainment have to do with anything?

You still don't know how the park today is ran under a completely different corporate and local management team. And you were never high enough up to be privy to those decisions anyways.

Could Vortex close early for the station modification and track painting before opening as a floorless coaster in time for Winterfest as an added draw? It seems like the offseason would be long enough for the station modification and painting.

They're not going to open in for Winterfest (if that's even the plan for 2018) just like they aren't going to open Mean Streak for Halloweekends.

They use new attraction openings to drive sales of season passes, not some month long event.

^ Agree Ed but in the same sense does Cedar Point really need Mean Streak to drive sales? I'm pretty sure guests have already locked in on getting a pass for next year even if they were to open it Halloweekend. The magnitude of the coaster has me locked in for at least the next two season. Lol.

I was employed at the park in June and July of 2006. Furthermore, Cedar Fair had already been making decisions prior to June.

What they did prior to June 30 doesn't matter because you didn't work for them, you worked for Paramount Parks. You worked for them for a month or less before they fired you. That hardly makes you any kind of expert on how the company runs anything, and even less when you consider that that was under Dick (and not even Bart).
