Now that's very interesting. I'm guessing just the carousel relocation and maybe some extra bits of tlc. I'll be surprised if they pull another county fair and do a complete overhaul on the area (not that I wouldn't welcome it)

I still wouldn't count snoopy out yet.

Vortex Plaza renovation could mean anything

So, if the park submitted the Vortex Plaza renovation, that could mean a few things...

One thing is certain, why re-do the plaza and keep Vortex the same?
That doesn't make any sense once so ever.

So at this point, I think will we see Vortex go Floorless in 18'.

If they move the carousel over in font of Vortex, that would be great! Plus, that will free up some extra areas in PS for new rides as well.

So I am still sticking to my first speculation..

^ That's what I was thinking, too. Especially since they're converting all their stand-up coasters. Why would they convert everything around Vortex but leave Vortex the same when it's the centerpiece of that area? If anything, it would make the most sense to convert Vortex and make everything else around it fit the same sort of theme.

Thinking about it even more, if they're relocating the carousel to that area, I could also see Vortex being themed similarly. Remember the horse in County Fair at the beginning of the season? It doesn't make sense to me that they'd put it in the park and promptly remove it for no reason. I think it could have very well been a hint for what could come in 2018.

Again, there aren't any slides left from Geauga Lake to relocate. Theyve either moved or were scrapped.

The horse was just a horse. Same as the pigs cause, you know, a county fair has those things. At this point it's anyone's guest as things are finalized and plans start to take shape.

I wonder of there s enough room in new County Fair for the Carousel. Looks like it might be able to fit on the other side of Electro-Spin but that would mean a Surfer Joe's (not sure of the new name) removal/relocation.
Seems that would be the best area to relocate the Carousel since it fits right in with the County Fair theme..no?

I'd say the bumper cars make more sense than the carousel in the county fair area.

The carousel would look out of place in the "Carolina Showplace" or as most people refer to it simply as Vortex Plaza. I think the carousel is staying in Planet Snoopy but is being moved to another section of Planet Snoopy.

I also think that Vortex is not being converted for the 2018 season, and of course I have my reasons why this is my current thought. Does the park really need to change Vortex to go along with a plaza renovation? Not really. But everything from the Shade Arbor all the way around to Slingshot could use some TLC.

... It would be nice to have a midway from the shade arbor and have it go directly across to Slingshot ...

the vortex plaza area I believe was going to be redone a few years back but for whatever reason, wasn't. There is no flow in that area. That whole game building needs to go and open up that area imo. Scrambler needs to be relocated and be part of county fair. Whats going to be sad is a renovation to that area may spell the end for the trees there.

Could this be one of the four new roller coaster cedar fair was hinting at? Does anyone know if Cedar Fair has used chance in the recent past?
