Found an email in my inbox saying that the attraction count was wrong..its 23! That includes rides, merchandise, food places, and a certain bronzed sponge.

Go easy on the guy...he hasn't been back on the job very long

The *total* number of attractions that will be in the area (NC/AS/ZZ) being remade for 2005 will number 23. Ponder on that.

The announcement is going to be at the end of the month/first of February.

Yes, there will be a surprise or two.

I would love to have the swings back. I used to just stay on them since the line was never long. It would be cool if we got a better one that was higher and faster.

Not for sure. Just one of those funny things that the park gets. I've heard some doozies let me tell ya. Like the person who suggested the park was becoming a rat's nest for getting a second hand Vekoma flyer.

Jetliners, Swing Time, Mini-Train, or Road Rally will be removed and replaced because according to the flyer, there will be 14 rides. Between NC, AS, and ZZ there is 13 including the Log Flume(they may of left Log Flume out by mistake, but I doubt it.) My bet is the Jetliners or Swing Time.

I wonder if the go-kart track and r/c boats could be included in the 21 attractions. If so, that would bring our unknown down to three. My guesses are:
1)New store in that storage building.
2)Waterplay Structure like PKD, PGA, and PKI have.
3)R/C Boats?(I ain't sure about this one)

From what i have heard there will be no go carts but 2 of the new attractions will be a new show in the Paramount theatre based after a 2004 movie. I will not say the name to leave it a suprise.

Also Stan Makitas will be re-themed as well. If you think about it you'll figure out the new theme.

But from what my source knows there is no go carts.

Yeh, I'm a little skeptical about the go-karts too although Justin (<a href='http://www.coasterclub.org/' target='_blank'>First Drop</a>) claims he heard it from a very reliable source. It could be one of those "mid-season" attractions that opens in July. Guess we'll just have to wait on this one.

I hope Carowinds does add go-karts, it get my dad and brother out to Carowinds more, and they would stay longer.
