Walt Disney's Haunted Mansion is supposed from the Antibellum time period which refers to the time period prior to the US Civil War so why is it exempt?

Plus look at the movie based on the ride, the story is based on one of the many backstories of the Disneyland Mansion and there is more than one way to interpret the plot leading up to the story.

But my point wasn't discussing the word used, I understand now that we were discussing a word not the building however Carowinds referred to the structure as a Southern Colonial Mansion originally, when and who started referring to the structure as the Plantation House? Was it ever marked on the park map or did visitors just start referring to it as the Plantation House because the area was called Plantation Sqaure and the structure looked too small to be a Mansion?

Not everyone knows the background and takes time to do their research on the Haunted Mansion, Like 99% of People that go to Disney, They just ride it. If it is obvious and has the name Plantation in it, More people will find it offensive.

There's a difference between Antebellum architecture and an actual plantation.

I love Antebellum-style buildings and homes; they're beautiful and feel uniquely Southern, which is nice from a cultural perspective.

That being said, plantations themselves are something I don't think people would find "fun" to stay in, at least not while visiting an amusement park. It's not that it would be particularly offensive, it's just tasteless and has too many negative connotations. A grand, Southern-style manor could be cool (especially in the thematic sense) but we all know Cedar Fair is going to go the more modern route anyway... so there's really no need for a debate at all.
