I guess. It can be a plus if the Hotel has a nice exterior as it will attract guests.

To add to this, it's probably the best spot on the entire property to place it.
Mainly because you would actually see it from the interstate. And you may be enticed to stay there. It's not like it will block the view of the park that much. The main view you get of the park is right before the Charlotte loop interchange. And then that one open spot on the right side of the interstate. But I'd assume that you would still be able to see the park very clearly. Honestly, having the hotel there is a plus in any case.

You can even have a separate parking lot with a small road connected to the main toll road without having to add or remove too much infrastructure. The ground is mostly level, except for the few storm drainage basins that reside there. Not to mention a few trees, but those would get moved right? Probably not, more like CUT DOWN more than likely :(

There are probably a few other good reasons to have the hotel there that I'm forgetting, but this is all just my own personal opinion.

So the general consensus next year will see an expanded Planet Snoopy kids area, and a renovation of the Vortex Plaza involving the relocation of the carousel and possibly a Vortex conversion. A hotel is coming, but possibly not next year. Unless I have missed something.

As for the former Whitewater Falls site, apparently whatever is planned for that site may now be expected for 2019 or 2020. Do you think this will ultimately be a new coaster or some other attraction? I am curious what will replace Whitewater Falls, but where do you think the next coaster will be located?

Agreed. I think also we might see some general park upgrades and I think the Hotel will be announced this year but won't be ready till at least late 2018.

Yea right when I posted that I realized it would take a little longer. Anyone have speculations on theme / name?
