What was carowinds total attendence for this year, anyone know?

That was rich!

All I heard from David Mandt was that the park did NOT make the 2 million mark. I've not heard the actual attendance number though but my guess would be in the area of 1.9 million.

Looking at this year's operating calendar. Carowinds is showing odd hours in March and April by being open four days in a row. It also looks like they extended the summer schedule by a week.

I'll bet we get 2 Million this season. The park will be open alot later this year from what i have heard.

Yeah, I think so. It is to be a good year. New rethemed area with new rides. Retemed Restraunt.. At least there will be more families here.

Also i think the new show in the theatre will target kids as well since the movie was kinda towards kids.

Here's something to tantalize you with...

Carowinds moved up to 29th place in the listing of the top 50 parks for this year. Before that, they were 33 and 35. They were behind Dollywood (28th) and above SFOG (30th.)

^^ Amazing that we had more attendance than SFoG. I was even more shocked to see that we had more attendance than SFNE, SFoT, Dorney Park, SFStL & SFA. I just haven't been keeping up with park attendances as much as I use too.

Those 2 extra days in Nov. is what pushed us over the 2 million mark as we made it by just 10,000.

Anyway, kudos to Carowinds for finally passing that illusive TWO MILLION mark!!
