^^^Whatever you are smoking, it must be some reaaaaaaallllllllyyyyy good stuff.

I'm curious where you got some of that info as it is almost 100% inaccurate (and I'm sure someone will be pics posted to prove it). Nothing has been added to Intimidator, those trims have been there since opening day. They have absolutely nothing to do with the wheels on the train, they are there to control the speed of the trains so that they stay within operating limits.

After riding it a couple of times today, I did have a slight vibration in the back row, nothing that really bothered me though.

That is the right information. You guys on this forum will find anyway to argue about anything.

Intimidator did not have those trim brakes the first couple or so months when it first opened, and like I mentioned, it is fact that trims were put on to save wheel life.

Unrelated, to all that, I'd like to see someone argue a fact that Intimidator didn't have seat belts the first few years.

The seatbelts on Intimidator were added after the New Texas Giant accident in 2013. However I can’t remember exactly when in 2013 or 2014.
Edit:

However I will not debate why Intimidator has trims but the sqaure wheels you mentioned does make sense because roller coaster wheels have developed flat spots before and that explains why.

Also on the note of the trims I am sure someone will post a picture or link to a picture of the trim during construction.

Intimidator was designed with trims. Want proof?

Both pictures from 2010. Now I know what you're thinking, "well those aren't from opening day so I'm right, and everyone else on this forum is wrong and below me because I'm an elitist civil engineer who knows everything about anything."

This picture is from November of 2009:

Trims were added onto the coaster before it even opened.

Little kid, you need to chill out. People are here to chat- keep your name calling and junk talk to yourself. Be respectful.

If you found pictures, then good. My bad. I remember well that during opening to mid season for opening season of Intimidator that trims were not active, because there was no drag going up the hops. Once that drag kicked in later on in the season it was a huge bummer!

RollerBee, yes I was trying to give an example of how the wheels square out by using Intimidator. I didnt intend an aggressive side bar on the existence of trim brakes.

Little kid? Really? If you are going to request respect, you must give respect.

Also, you were wrong. We told you that you were wrong. That was not good enough because you returned to double down on your incorrect information. He posted pictures to prove you were incorrect and now you want to whine about it and ask for respect. , please. You have a lot of growing up to do, yourself.

Finally, of course the trims didn't hit early in the season. They almost never hit early in the season. They are there to control speed, of course (not save wheels). The coaster runs slower in the cold so no need for the trim to hit.

^And your job profession is Chris?

The speed is the trains is controlled by the factors of weight, temperature, humidity and the type of wheels on the train. All of which also control the amount of wear on the wheels also. Friction generates heat in which turn wears the wheels faster.

I was at the construction tour of intimidator months before it opened and I have pix of the trims, which often do not hit eaekynin the year when it’s colder.

And B&M trains do have shocks ;-). Vekoma prior to about five years ago did not...

I have felt the vibration a little but it was never enough to keep me from enjoying riding fury. The trims were there on day one of the intimidator And to my understanding on both fury and intimidator most of the time the trims only engage if the trains go beyond the designed speed at certain points, however I can see how when the train leaves the track and slams back down It can cause indentations on the wheels. I will say the back-and-forth of who is right and who is wrong is quite entertaining.
