I say New Question…. No One is even close. This Question can only be answered by an Employee.

I say 9 or 10

1 At the Entrance
2 Just 15 Feet in front of them in the open area.
1 At the Corner near the handicap entrance gate
2 To the right of just before you walk up the stairs.
2 or 3 On the load side inside the Station sitting inside of the Rails.

OK here’s My Question. What was the Last season for the Monorail, and where was it sent to?

The Monorail's last season was 1994, and according to Swampfox's Carowinds: The Early Years website, it was sold to the resort city of Acapulco, Mexico.

Anyone know why the Monorail was removed? It wasn't replaced by anything...

Darn, you beat me to it.

I think the Monorail was taken out for money & low ridership.

Yah actually the answer was 12 an employee wouldnt know as with the name of the topic "Take in the details"

I believe the monorail was moved because it cost too much to keep running im not sure

I think it would have been a nice idea if they would have shortened and re-routed the monorail track to wear it just looped around within the park. They could have built another station (maybe in the Country Fair) and it could have been used as a transportation ride. (Plus they wouldn't have had all that track to maintain out in the parking lot.) Like how Magic Mountain's Monorail is laid out.

My theory is it was removed due to the low clearance between the track and the goldrusher. Also, because it no longer served a purpose.

LOL LOL you would think that clearance issues would be thought thru during the design stages of the rides.....

Actually, no. Since the park was designed in late 1960s. There was a lot of other issues back then.
