General Carowinds discussion

Again I’m not personally a fan of the spinning concept, but I could see why it could fit from a marketing perspective. Xtreme Spinning coasters are a novel concept, only one currently exists on the planet (two if you count that weird Gerstlauer in Japan).

Time Traveler has been getting good reviews, and the spinning has been described as more of a rotation than a true spin. So maybe it wouldn’t be as nauseating as we think.

Mine is not so much worried about getting nauseous but getting too dizzy....but I guess I need to keep an open mind.....ok enough about that I wanna get back to the pictures that was posted, I was right about what I thought I saw, those are posts with flags, is it too early or could those be location markers for footers

The one Mack spinner I've been on (Cobra's Curse) is pretty good. While true it's a family coaster, I don't really care for spin rides but this one was fun since it was pretty controlled and only spun in certain sections. They don't let let spin around to where the average person will puke. I will say I don't care for Zamperla spinning mice, which are a bit more random at the spin level. The one at Fun Spot in Kissimmee was a one and done for me.

This will be the last thing I say about a spinner, but it’s ok if we get a spinner all I’m saying is that if this is truly gonna be a launch then don’t waist it on a spinner, I’m hoping for a ride like Helix even the POV looks awesome

Until I ride Time Traveler, which could be awhile, I’m not making any judgements on a Mack spinning coaster. Something I’ve learned over the years is that you can’t judge a ride until you ride it.

While I'd be content with a Mack spinner, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this ends up being a mega launch. Blue Fire and Helix look amazing and the chance to ride something like that without having to cross an Ocean in the process is legitimately exciting!

I've been on Pandemonium at Six Flags Texas, https://rcdb.com/4042.htm
It's a Gerstlauer Spinning Coaster but it feels like a souped up crazy mouse or whatever...it had a lot of back and forth and cool turns but wasn't tall and to be honest didn't feel like it spun very much.

Can they do a launched spinner ?

I'd prefer a couple launches like Maverick or Volcano which likely couldn't spin anyway. I really don't think Carowinds is getting a spinner.
