General Carowinds discussion

This could very well be a possibility but I doubt it. I will say however, that Carowinds is keeping this one under wraps as much as possible! Only a handful of people know and if one of those people happened to leak a blueprint, they’d just be a distant memory right now!...#unlikeanythingelse/oneofakind

I think we are the only ones making a big deal out of this stuff. I honestly feel the park does not have the time or the inclination to do a mock-up and purposely release wrong info to a fan site. The exception to the gamesmanship, is when the park's PR person takes it upon themselves to toy with the local enthusiast community by engaging in an easter egg hunt to keep us entertained. But that takes a lot of time, and who has that at the beginning of a new season?

At the end of the day, none of the known information means much to the general public at this point in the season. Even if the info is real, the pubic will not take notice until the announcement in the fall.

So in a nut shell, whether we have real or fake blue prints, besides us, nobody cares.

Really cause I think you are two of a kind. Hehe!

The layout that has been leaked isn’t really anything close to one of a kind. So far Time Traveler is one of a kind.

As footers go over the next couple months we will figure out if the blueprints are real or not.

Honestly I wouldn’t put it past Carowinds to intentionally leak fake or real blueprints. Most of the general pubic wouldn’t even have a clue what they are looking at. Most likely it wasn’t approved by the park to be leaked.

I suspect the layout wasn’t directly leaked to Screamscape but instead sent down a grapevine.

Most of the GP (like 99.9%) don't even know this discussion is going on right now. Leaked blueprints that may or may not be real, at a park that they may or may not know is rumored to be getting a coaster next year couldn't be farther off the average person's radar.

If a marketing person hypothetically leaked fake blueprints (or real ones) to start building early buzz among the enthusiast community, that likely would not trickle down to the park's general public consumer base at large. So there'd be no real harm in doing so.

Just to show what percent of the potential park customer base that knows about it, let’s say they have 2M visitors in a year. So far my two videos have a combined 12,000 views. That means only 0.6% of yearly attendance has seen it yet, and because my demographics are mostly enthusiasts many of those won’t be able to make it and already knew about it anyways.

Most GP's know something new is coming till right before it opens and sometimes not to they are at the park and it's open. I was at CP last year waiting for Maverick and a group of GP's were commenting that they were tearing down Mean Streak . Meanwhile you could see that metal track had been laid. It's hilarious to just hear the things GP's say while you over hear them in line. It would be hard to narrow down to a top 10 list of GP clueless statements, there is just too much to choose from.

Took a stroll through the park today and found some things of interest...

What could this be? A new sign for Carolina Harbor?

To those of you who still think Project 2019 will reuse WWF old entrance building...

I had said earlier that building which was Whitewater Falls entrance and before that the jalopies entrance and I guess I have to admit I was wrong and it makes me sad that they are tearing down what history we have left . Shame :(

History? Y’all realize the park still has 4 original rides and a handful of original buildings, right?
