And y'all know this, how? We can all speculate but when someone throws out 0% or 100%, then they give the impression that they know for sure, with good authority. I think 2% would be more likely.

I think four years down the road, we're getting a Wodan style GCI in the area where action theater is right now. I can just imagine a giant, menacing woodie along the side of the road, roaring past the water park. Thunder Road is the best woodie in the park, but it's not the signature attraction it used to be in the 70's. I think Carowinds is going to try to build a woodie that creates the same effect that Thunder Road had in 1976. It will be a timeless classic and a great thrill ride that pleases park guests for generations. In the long run, TR's removal will pay off, but it won't happen in 2016. I also think the location for the log flume will be in DA's spot.

Why should the park get a coaster "like _______"? What is wrong with setting a new standard? If the park desires to get another wooden coaster I hope it be something as different as different can be.

^ I honestly don't think that Carowinds is a "hotel-worthy" park. Most of the people who go to Carowinds live less then 2 hours away and they don't need a hotel. I could see them getting a big hotel-resort later on though.

^^ About the woodie thing, I would Love a signature GCI wooden coaster that tons of little airtime hills and big twists, but I really hope that it will stay smooth like the first 3/4 of Thunder Road. Like coasterbruh said, something different so the youtube comments don't say "this is the same as Wodan/El Toro/The Voyage"

I don't see them putting a hotel anywhere near that area since that would take up a great deal of park real estate. However...I do wish, hope, pray...you get the idea lol, that they would use the property near 77 to build a resort, not a hotel. If they build a resort with good amenities and lots of on-site perks I would def consider staying there living an hour away. Some times its those quick 2 day trips that can do the body good. Whenever I go to Orlando, and have the extra bucks, I always try to stay at a resort that's all inclusive. But my biggest fear is that if Carowinds were to do something like that, it would be kids centric like that great wolf lodge place.

It has been talked about years, the park wants a cooperator to do it, that tells me that Cedar Fair knows good and well they don't need to take all the risk like Hotel Breakers at CP. the fact that they have yet to get one tells me that the hotel operators don't even want half the risk.

You do know that Hotel Breakers is over 100 years old, it's not like the "took all the risk" and put it in a few years ago.
