For some reason, I have a really hard time thinking that they'd put a stake there just stating the T-Road rehab was done by GCI. These are obviously aimed at CC, and everyone on here has known they're doing the rehab for a couple years now. So I don't see why the park would be stating the obvious, more or less. So I'm still gonna hold onto a new GCI, wether it's in 2012 or 2013.

Maybe it was a play on words, maybe they are upgrading underground power lines for 2012.

Was at carowinds today (monday 7-25-11) and there is NO stakes in the field of intimidator anymore. There is still that one stake right outside to the left of the entrance to action theatre. ( pic was posted on the previous page) There was no stake at the exit of thunderroad. While i was in the water park slide lines, was looking around thunderroad for any survey markings on the ground, did not see any.

When leaving the park I decided to drive down through the parking lot near the south gate to hunt for any more markings on the ground and found - nothing - but i did get stopped by the carowinds fuzz. Told him was new to carowinds and was looking at the other entrance and thought there was an exit down here, and was lost. He politely pointed me in the right direction. Guess we will have to wait til Aug. 24th

That's the whole point of viral marketing. The GCI labels and Huss labels were too good to be true from the get go.

Don't forget the marketing for Intimidator. Heck, they contacted CarowindsConnection to take down the (fake) white lightning file. They're toying with us. That's even more obvious now that the stakes are gone.

well the whole "lighning" thing, it did happen as it said Lightning does strike twice and it did getting two intimidators at 2 parks. I think Carowinds will end up with the a Giant Frisbee and the GCI stake was for GCI trains on Thunderroad after the refurbishing is done possibly by next season. 2013 is the year to look forward to as Carowinds will be getting something very big for their 40th anniversary.

Why not? I think it would be a good move.
