General Carowinds discussion

Sadly, things don't have to be in arms reach. Parents will allow their kids to climb over the railings and play in the areas that are off limits. I noticed so much of that during Winterfest, and the parents were standing there in line like everything was normal.

I sure hope that doesn't happen! The theming is too detailed and unique and i'd be extremely sad to see it go!

People are nasty, destructive animals, so it's up to the park to anticipate that behavior. The Disney way is to scrub, paint and repair after-hours so the park will be brand new the next day.

Watching from the webcam seems to give the ride a lot more punch than the POV shows. I want to watch a non-POV closer to the track, just to see. I was a little worried the last 10-15 seconds were boring, but watching it whip around with the headlights on the far left, just before the final brakes, shows it to be a bit faster than the POV implied.

A video was also posted on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/rollercoasters ... _dispatch/

It shows both trains, and the second was launched right as the first was coming into the final brakes. I know there was some discussion on blocking, so there's definitely a point before the train ends its run that they can launch the next one (unless they were overriding for testing).

Thought the same, but is there enough space on the final run to hold two trains? If they send train 2 as train 1 hits the brake run, but then there's a problem with train 3 (slow load, etc), there has to be room for train 2 on that brake run.

I think a 3 train operation is possible, but i think for most days they'll do a normal 2 train op. 3 train ops would only be for the opening week and very popular days in the season. I just hope they do a 2 train operation well, because on Nighthawk, they were running two trains but they wouldn't dispatch a train until the second train hit the brake run, resulting in an hour-long line

Shouldn't be a problem at all. One train in station, second train on transfer track section and third on the brakes.

The ride can easily handle three train operations... that’s why they have three trains lol. I imagine they’ll begin testing 3 train operations soon.

The station and brake area can fit three trains. The trains aren’t very long, anyways.
