It used to be a dark, faded green. It is hard to tell from these two pictures...

At one time it also had a combination of the aqua/green and red paint schemes.

In that era, the Spine was the green/light blue color shown in GhettoPastries post above^, but the ride had red or orange rails, which can be seen <a href='http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery81.htm?Picture=1' target='_blank'>HERE</a>

I have a really good picture of the Corkscrews painted solid red, in an old NC Travel Guide from the early 80s. Maybe when my scanner is resurected from the dead, I'll try to get it online somehow.

I do not think rethemeing it is necessary. Improving the ride would be better. Especially the waiting line, seeing gum everywhere really digusts me or even remaking the station to have a more traditional feel to the ride.

Well, I think by re-theming he actually meant adding some theming to the ride, and fixing it up. The Tennessee Tornado, like someone said earlier, is a good example of how they could make the 'ride area' more attractive.

When did they paint the trains? all the old pics i see the trains are red.
