RollerNut wrote:Why would anyone need dessert, because some people can have their cake and eat it too. :P I didn't originally ask if they were needed, I asked if it would be nice. I suggested Millennium Flyers because they look similar to the trains from Jetstream, GCI is working on the coaster, and they may be lighter than the PTCs.

Ever since I heard GCII was doing the rework on Thunder Road, I've been dreaming they'll put Millennium Flyers on it. Heck, I'd even take a year of just one on each side, until the second year when they'd buy another set.

I know it probably won't happen, but Millennium Flyers are my favorite type of wooden train, and of course I'd love to have them on TR.

GCI will only sell Millennium Flyers for use on their own coasters, so you can go ahead and throw that out the window.

Don't the MF trains have a narrower track gauge than other types of trains (like PTCs)? If that is the case, a whole coaster would have to be retracked to take the MF trains anyway.

Most of the track has been retracked, they may as well >.>

Millennium Flyer trains are the same Gauge (Otherwise Hershey wouldn't have been able to switch from PTCs to MilFs for their coaster), but GCI won't sell trains for coasters they didn't build.

Why would anybody want MF on PTC track whether or not GCI retracked it or not? Could you imagine how much better a ride Hurricane would have been with PTC trains. MF's just never track right. Don't wish for such things just be happy TR is getting a second life!

You are getting Millennium Flyers confused with Gerstlauers. Gerstlauer trains were on Hurricane and other CCI coasters. Millennium Flyers are single car trailered trains made by GCI for their coasters like Thunderhead, Renegade, Lightning Racer, etc.

I can tell you that I LOVE Milfs. Nothing like seeing them.

Well, it was a nice thought, can't we count Thunder Road as half PTC/half GCI?

At this point I would....

Now that i think about it, would hurler benefit from millennium flyers instead of ptcs?

Wow, Thunder Road is almost all new. I bet Carowinds is spending a pretty shiney nickel on it. I really hope they keep treating Thunder Road like this(or to a reasonable extent).
