Welcome to the Carolina's Dani. From what I have read on these boards, you could be what Carowinds needed, in addition to Cedar Fair buying the parks. There hasn't been a lot of changes since the takeover, but it takes time to redo what Paramount failed to do. I have visited Carowinds for around 20 years or more, just not every year for some time. Now that I have young kids, the season pass is the best deal for weekend escapes to the water and rides!

Trying to refrain from going ape sh!t on the lame duck making it seem that paramount came in and bankrupted the park, raped it, and left it to die. And apparently cedar fair came in to a destitute park that had low attendance and poor manangment and sprinkled some pixie dust from the skytower and instantly the park because 300% better.

I mean...really...

But anyway back to Dani...

Really not what I meant at all Bruh, just as I said Paramount could have did more. They didn't bankrupt anything, pretty much all parks did that themselves. There was a coaster boom going on from the late 90's into the early 2000's. Then it slowed down a bit, except for the more profitable parks.
I was referring to bringing in "extra's" like CoasterStock that Paramount failed to do. Yeah C3 comes each year, but another event that could help build the "enthusiast" base is always a good thing. Not everyone in the public know about the enthusiast forums even exsist.
At least CF did bring in some kind of new rides, even if they are used. Again, the local crowd that does not travel much will look at it as a new ride. It's just how it is.
That's more where I was referring to, it isn't 300% better. If they would just make food prices in line with what it should be, then we would be getting somewhere. Or make the quality in line with the price.

well if you think about it dani is from the paramount years so hummm. we dont know what could have been the works. the park had scarowinds as well as the winterfest. not to mention the character lunches and the nick parade. im just saying...

I see what your saying......I missed the whole Winterfest stuff. That was before we started getting season passes again. Points taken.

Hello everyone! new to the website, never really knew there was one. I grew up in Gville SC grew up comming to the park every year. and Now I live in Booresville (oops i mean Mooresville hehe) didnt make it to carowinds this past year due to a newborn and crappy economy. Anyways thought i would introduce myself to everyone. Thanks
