The last time I rode Vortex, the G's were way stronger than I remembered. I almost blacked out on the helix.

Vortex is a pretty rough B&M if you ask me the corkscrew is a tight one I hate being slung around on it thats why I ride it maybe 2-4 times a season.

I love all of the rides but I have to say Vortex is pretty rough. There's really no way to prepare for the pain that hurts your head and your feet. Hurler and Thunder rode are pretty smooth in the front. There I can ride them all day but put me any where else and I've got a concussion. Afterburn is the second smoothest ride I've been on with The Time Machine at Freestyle being the first. Never sit on the outsider sides of Nighthawk unless you want a giant bruised leg. Cobra is always smooth though, I guess it can tie the "Machine". The new retro restraints make it so smooth. The front is amazing but one ride in the back is enough for me. :|

Hate the train, but love the ride. I keep talking to my friends that I wish they would convert it over to a floorless coaster. Of course I would like to see it grow a bit, but still switch it over to a floorless none the less. It is in a great location and to redesign it would be incredible especialy since it already has a great layour for the que.

I wonder if they can switch the trains to floorless and not standup.

I'm pretty sure that they cannot do that because they would have to order new trains and Vortex's layout is way to short compared to other floor less coasters. Next time you ride just sit on the bicycle seats, prepare for private inconveniences, and put yo hands in da air!

The only obstacle would be converting the station to have the fold-away floors. I'm sure if Cedar Fair was willing to pay the price, B&M would have no problem making it happen. But of course, it'll never happen because the stand-up gimmick, whether enthusiasts like it or not, works.

I personally don't even find it rough. It doesn't hurt my manland. But that's just me by looking at these responses.

^ i dont find any problem with it either, And honestly if you do have a problem then just make sure that the 'seat' isnt riding up into your crotch. Instead just push it down an inch or two, the ride ops wont kill you for wanting to have kids. After all, the only reason for the seat being there is to keep anyone from slipping downward and out of the harness.

The only part of vortex that hurts is the top of the corkscrew. The rest is smooth. Cobra is probably the most painful in the park. I hate having my head free-moving, it gives me whiplash.

I don't find the Cobra a bad ride, the only part I hate is the way the shoulder restraints fit. Any of you with long hair like myself should know, if you don't get a chance to pull your hair up and they come by and push the bar down, you're in for a painful ride!

Back on topic:
I admittedly only ride the Vortex once every 2 or 3 weeks, as it does hurt to an extent. But I find it's not so bad if you bend your knees about 3 inches, then just stand up a little once the ride starts.
