Define "relatively cheap." The lighting package alone on that thing costs over a million dollars.

Relatively cheap by amusement park standards. The ride itself cost $6.5 million (compared to Fury's price of $30 million)

While removing Windseeker would hurt Carowinds' flat collection, it would open up the area and it would make the path a little less congested. And we could have part of the pond back

I for one LOVE Windseeker. I would be completely upset if it were ever removed. I usually ride it at least twice per visit. There is nothing like riding it at night.

You wouldn't build a 300-foot tall ride only to tear it down a few years later.

I know it went to Worlds of Fun. What I should have added in that post was that if a park needs to, it will remove a ride no matter how big.

Send it to Michigan's Adventure if you want to remove it. But I think wind seeker should stay. Also, Tarheel, how many other flat rides can you name that cost over 6.5 million? There are not very many, if any. What kind of flat ride costs as much as a roller coaster? (lightning run)

Now, now... Just because a ride has issues, doesn't mean it necessarily needs to be removed. Parks don't remove their Intamin coasters just because they have all the issues they have. I feel like it's a chill ride I can ride in the middle of the day when I need a break.
