it was very crowded tonight! i only got 1 ride on intimidator in 25 min, then left the park! But it was the best ride ever! NO TRIM AT ALL, ON BOTH OF THEM!

Hey guys I have a question. I was walking by the carowinds theater and it said that the fangs show was innapropriet for little kids. what about it is innapropriet?? The jokes????? The plot????? Is it like "get ready to be bitten after this 1 more dance". Or is it fine and that sign was nothhing?

Maybe it is me but when I go to a Park Halloween Event. I go there for the Scarezones and the Houses but I see people standing in the long lines for the coasters when they could have came during the regular day and rode with alot less wait. I see it all the time when I am in Florida or Hollywood for Halloween Horror Nights or Howl-O-Scream in Tampa. BUt I do not complain at all since that is alot less people trying to go into the Houses.

I recall last year seeing a mere 10 minute wait on Mummy during the regular hours but it hit 120 plus minutes during Halloween Horror Nights. I just do not get it why you would do something like that? As Spock would say, "It just not seem logical Jim." Maybe I am missing something?

^^Well for me I went to Scarowinds and went through a few of the mazes but I mostly wanted to get more rides in especially night rides because I won't get another chance to go to Carowinds for a long while since I am living in England for 2 years. I noticed that while I was there though. I was thinking that when the park opened back for Scarowinds that the lines for the rides would be shorter being so much other stuff to do but man was I wrong. The lines were 2 times as long.

The entire Scarowinds program isn't appropriate for kids. I haven't been to Fangs, but I'm going to make a wild guess that there's gore/horror theming with some crude jokes thrown in here and there. It's only common sense not to bring children to a show like that. Savvy?

For some reason, I think last year was better than this year. I do not know what it is, maybe it's because I find that a lot more people break character this year than I have seen in the past. I like Defex, I think it's the scariest house Scarowinds has ever done. All the other houses are pretty much the same, so there is nothing to say about that. All the houses are pretty decent, but I am not a huge fan of Cornstalkers. The only major complaint I have is the street program. I am sorry, 3 scarezones are just not cutting it for me. The actors in the scarezones are doing a great job, but I just feel like they are not that great of length. There are areas that should count as a scarezone (circus area). That's been my complaint for the past 4 years I have been going to the event. However, everything is pretty good this year. I would rank this year close to last year as the best year I have been, but I think it falls a tiny bit short of last year. The only thing I would say to improve on for next year is the street program.

Every year see what show the park has to offer. This year is a major improvement. It's not a spectacular show, but it is headed in the right direction. The comedy parts of Fangs are great! The singing is not really that good. They are headed in the right direction though.

Fangs didn't have any gore, and I don't recall any real off colour jokes. It did have women in skimpy outfits. I saw the show they had in 2008 that was definitely a bit more risque.

Fangs had potential, but I just wasn't that impressed. I really didn't like the musical selection.

We went into fangs tonight and it was funny but they could not sing to good and the reason it is not suitable for kids is because the girls that were dancing took there shirts of. We also went into corn stalkers it didn't scare me much.

if you have a gold pass the best thing to do is go during the day to ride the rides and evening to check out the scarowinds stuff.
went sunday the 10th and thought i would grad a ride on night hawk since it has been down all year. walked right on the ride. did not think about taking my iphone out of my pocket since i never have lost anything on the rides. after the corkscrews i relised my phone was gone. went and filled out a claim and luckly at 630 i got my phone back. thinking it fell out in teh station but the screen would not work and was shifted. i got home and somehow music started playing so i tore my phone apart and one connection for the screen was off and the viberate motor was damaged got my phone all back together and luckly it is a fully functioning phone again. just ugly since the screen is shifted and the will not close down all the way from the silver ring being bent a little.
intimidator was a walk on and select your seat. i rode 4 times without getting off the train. they even announced that you could ride again if you wanted to.
after burn was the same way walk right up and get on a train.
park was very empty but fun since you could get maximum ride time.

^It probably fell out during the loop, that's the most common place for things to fall out. You're incredibly lucky it fell out then and not during the corkscrew over the water. Just goes to show that you should either have a cargo pocket or some other way to secure loose articles in your pockets, because they WILL fall out, especially on rides like Nighthawk.

very expensive lesson. thankfully it still works and there is no screen damage.
i dont think the phone made it up the lift hill. im thinking when the ride tilted me back and the viberations rattled it out before the lift incline.
after i noticed it gone i looked all over around the loop area and any place i could see then rode the ride again looking around the corkscrew area when passing over it.
just happy i got my phone back and it works. some people say it never costs me anything to go to carowinds since i got a pass and parking is free. i told them this time it cost me.
