I think, no matter how hard the scaractors try, every guest or group of guests will have a different experience in the maze because of the timing of the scares. That's not to say one guest experience is inherently "better" or "worse" than another, just different. I liked Dark Harvest and thought some of the scares were really good, especially the "surprise" at the end. But depending on timing, the surprise at the end wouldn't be so spectacular. It just depends on the size of the group going through and how they are spaced. That applies to all mazes.
Overall, I was impressed with the scare zones and the mazes. The Playground and London Terror seemed much better on scaractor-guest interactions than other zones. I would have liked to have seen a few more scaractors roaming the park outside of the scarezones and maze queues. Skeleton Crew is great, especially the trampoline team. The band in Harmony Hall was way too loud. I missed Blood Drums but wasn't really trying to see it either. Overall, I thought Scarowinds was really good this year. Hopefully I'll get down there one more time.
