I like Windseeker. Very relaxing, gives you a nice breeze, and the soundtrack is pretty great. It's honestly one of my favorite rides in the park.

That being said, I wouldn't be too torn up if they removed it. But I would certainly miss it.

I was inferring that it would be my Thunder Road.

I am a ride operator at Valleyfair, today one of my co-workers told me that we might be getting a Windseeker for next year, and also said that it could be relocated from Carowinds. For now, I'm taking it with a grain of salt, but have any of you Carowinds locals heard any rumors about Windseeker leaving?

No, I haven't heard anything like that. I'm wondering what your coworker is basing that off of or where he heard it himself...

Anyway, put me in the camp of not wanting to lose it, either. It takes up a really small footprint, makes our skyline more impressive, and is a fun family ride despite the maintenance issues. I seriously hope there's no truth to this rumor.

The park has no reason to remove it.

If they think every year will be a media outcry everytime it gets stuck they might remove it. But people vote with their feet so as long as people are riding it its not going any wheres. I do think Cedar Fair are kicking themselves by going with the windseeker design.

And for those of you who don't know, it was Jon. He was a part of several inaugural crews at the park, but his most notable is, of course, Fury 325.
He was mostly at the Greet and Group positions while there, so I'm sure that many of you know him. We (as in the managers and associates) are going to try and do something in his memory for him here at the park soon. Please keep him, his family, his friends, and his co-workers in your thoughts and prayers.
