I went to Scarowinds for my first time last night. It wasn't nowhere as scary as I was expecting. Here is my trip in a nutshell.
Scarowinds=Awesome.

Scarowinds with a group and a whiney twenty year old, only child who gets what she wants = six hours of stupid nothingness.

The thing was a "group event" but she picked everything we done the entire night. No rides...well one Intimidator, which brings my season total to 103, and one T-Road. but after I waited 45 minutes for T-road, she was fed up, so she declared no more rides for the night. It was all mazes all night. The only two I went into was, Dead Inn and Silver Scream Cinema. I thought Dead Inn was under done and kinda boring, but SSC was very good I thought. This was not my idea of bringing the season to a close, but I'm stuck with it.
I'm thinking about the Dollywood Christmas thing like @Edwardo said, but I don't know. Anyone have any info on it?

I won't be doing the ACE event at Dollywood, but I am looking at going during December, if I don't fly to NYC to see a Prince concert. The great thing about Dollywood in December is that there are lots of people, but no lines (or at least short lines) for the coasters.

Scarowinds was fun tonight it was my 3rd time going but they need more monsters runing around.. isn't about time to close this therad

Typically when everyone is behaving themselves we don't close the threads, they just die on their own. I have a feeling this will be a very slow off-season for the boards though.

My daughter and I will be at the ACE event at Dollywood on November 20th. My wife and son will also be coming along for the normal park hours so we can get one last use out of our season passes. I'll reply with more information on the Dollywood thread.

I know I've asked this a lot, but I've yet to get an answer from anywhere. Does anybody know the name of the group that did the "Bad to the Bone" and "Fangs" performance? They were really talented and I'd like to look them up.

Would you at least happen to know if it's possible to find videos of their performances anywhere? At least the Bad to the Bones one.

I can't find any videos of it there was one on youtube it was like 30 seconds long. If you do try to look for that one type in scarowinds 10.

The fangs show was in the theatre, these shows are usually produced by the park. If you do find videos of it, that would be copyright violations etc.... Bad to the bone, I am not sure because I didnt see it but I am sure some googleing would find what you wanted to know, or contacting the park.


I had a really great season this year! Intimidator was incredible and I was able to get in 123 rides on it this season. I will be posting a video from scarowinds shortly (the entire intro) from saturday night. No better way to spend the last 2 days of the season than at Carowinds and Scarowinds getting some last rides in. Oh any a word of advice as I think many have said before, go on a Sunday its DEAD. I thought it being halloween would make it a little more crowded, but it had no affect what so ever, no wait on any of the haunts, loved it. Anyway, video will be posted soon and maybe pictures later on.
