I hope the park uses the newer load/ unload stations as used on the Batwing and FireHawk. I wish I could ride Nighthawk more but the lines are just soooo long.

Im sorry but what load/unload stations? Those coasters load and unload from the same place. Now they both have dual stations but separate load and unloads?? No...

In my defense...... I've never gone to Kings Island or Six Flags America I bet the new restaurant complex in front of Intimidator will be a NASCAR theme....... Speedway Grille? I hope there's more sports on the TV's than just NASCAR (NFL, MLB, NBA if it's on). I think a really nice feature to the restaurant would be an outside porch looking at Intimidator go.

While at the park yesterday and riding the train with my kids, i saw some flags all around the inside grassy area.... could this possibly be markings for the restaurant? Just thought it was interesting... could we possibly loose 2 kid rides in a row??

That's not a bad guess. The NASCAR Cafe in Myrtle Beach recently closed, and I'm sure all that memorabilia had to go somewhere. I wouldn't mind something like that at Carowinds.

I got the idea from the Cincinatti Red's Hall of Fame Grille at Kings Island. Carowinds doesn't have an MLB team (unless you want a Knight's Grille but that may not be so interesting), our Football team is decent but not good enough to have a restaurant themed to them, our basketball team is garbage and I doubt hockey would be a good subject (but that's just my opinion). If anything, Carowinds will do another NASCAR theme. I don't know because I don't exactly have evidence. All I heard was that there would be a 7 million dollar food complex and I read somewhere that it would be in the Intimidator field. Whatever it is, it's got to be good if the park is willing to spend 7 million on it. Out of the 50 million, the complex is the most expensive investment behind the new Giga Coaster.

I could see them re-locating this ride, i mean its right in the middle of nowhere really, very odd location. I have wanted it re-located for years. Maybe they will actually put it in planet snoopy somewhere, just don't know where. If they remove this ride, that would be a big loss, as its a great ride for kids and families..

It wasnt in a weird location when it was The Guantlet. It was actually pretty awesome with the Log Flume coming directly behind it.
