My conversation with a park employee (a legit one, not the Dippin Dots guy):

Me: I'm excited to see the new County Fair area next year. If the renderings match the final product, that area is gonna look fantastic.
Employee: We're excite too, but we're going to have to remove a waterslide for it.
Me: I was wondering about that. You're referring to the orange and white one, right?
Employee: Orange and white or orange and blue. I can't remember, haha.
Me: Cool. So what are yall gonna do with the old County Fair area? I'm assuming expansion of the water park and the park itself, right?
Employee: There will be some future development in the area, but we're still working on it. We're gonna fix it up nice so that it looks great.

Now, whether said employee reads these boards and was just adding fuel to the fire or not, the world may never know. And I'm not sure if removed means removed completely removed or removed from its original spot and moved elsewhere.

It is evident that the park has gone from being predictable to having us on the edge of our seats lately. Will it be one slide from the tower gone or all both? Will they just move the compless directly across the path or place one of the tornados there as a great entrance statement to Carolina harbor? Will they just create a bottle neck at the new entrance and add some used slides from a soon to be closed water park int he big grassy field?

We will never know . . .

At the rate Cedar Fair is closing down water parks and removing slides, they'll have enough leftovers to build a brand new park somewhere, lol.

Why do employees read these forums? Not a knock on Carowinds Connection, but the only way I could see an employee browsing this site would be by mistake.

I read the fan forums for my job from time to time. They're mainly a bunch of crazies (which gives me some perspective on how we must look to the park on here), but it's still interesting to read their ideas.

A lot of the managers read this site and are rather amused every day.
Basically, they like what they are reading. Aside from a few posts here and there.
