Good Luck with the interview. Jason is a really nice guy and the only manager left in Entertainment that acually knows what he's doing.

Does anyone know about the IT department and how good it is? I worked the other day with the former manager of their IT department but I didnt get to talk to him as much as I would have liked. I applied for their IT position but have not followed through to the interview. I just want to know does carowinds offer health insurance and all of that? I think this maybe a great opportunity especially since I love carowinds and I love computers....

If you have any kind of info please let me know a.s.a.p.!

They start setting up the Paladium, Theatre & The Nick Theatre. Stagehands also have to be in for show rehearsal's. Thats why they start in Feb.

Update:

I had my interview with Jason and some lady (Carol, I believe) last friday. I got offered the job. I was told I needed to take a drug test within 72 hours. I couldn't do it Friday, had to work. Saturday I was sick all day. Sunday I was better, but they weren't doing them that day. Monday was my last day to take one and I had to work again. So I'm waiting on Jason to call me to see if I can still take a drug test. It sucks that they only did them for like 3 hours each day, does anybody know why they do it only for a certain number of hours a day?

Congrats on the offer. I would not worry, Jason would have no problem giving you another 3 days. They are in dire need to fill that spot.

Thats new to me. Anytime i had to take drug test i had all day. Never had to take one for Carowinds though.

I love Carol. She is a sweetheart.

I'm 18 and im applying for the ride operator postion.
Which is the best ride to operate.
I have a friend that works there and he tells me that hurler is

Hurler, ha! Carowinds sents the people that score the lowest in General Certification to Hurler/Drop Zone. As a second year, I requested Hurler(I loved it, but the other ops were mostly terrible.) I started at Goldrusher/Saturator, then work Upper Nick for Winterfest. 1st years don't have choice normally.

I think its mainly on personal preference. I chose AB (1st year btw rollernut)
And I absolutely love it! But its a faster paced ride than say Nighthawk would be to operate.
So It really depends what you would like.

They do not send the rejects to Hurler, RollerNut. In fact, they don't let the rejects work--they politely tell them thank you, but no thank you and send them to other departments. As far as where to work, it really is a personal preference and you can request what location. If you are really good with kids and don't mind dealing with parents, then you might ask for something in kiddie land. If you want a fast paced location that keeps you moving, you might ask for a coaster. They won't always have a position open at the exact place that you ask for, but they will try their best to put you somewhere comparable.
