Those pictures are awesome. If I would have seen those when they were going on I don't think I would have made it to opening day.

Those pictures of the pretzel roll are awesome, I've never seen it from that angle.

Thanks much.

Why is Batwing called Batwing when it dosen't have a batwing? Is It named after batman?

Most technical reason is that is when the train goes up in the element is looking similar to a bat or if you look at it from the side it kinda looks like a batwing.

I have no clue why it's called that, Didn't it used to be called a boomerang or somthing??.

^^ This element has always been called a Batwing. I don't think they would change the name of a coaster element once it has been established. There ARE coaster elements called a Boomerang & Cobra Roll which have similarities to the Batwing. Arrow mainly used the term Boomerang on their steel loopers. B&M pretty much coined the Cobra Roll & Batwing names for their coasters. Another rare element found on Arrow loopers is the Butterfly. The only one I can think of right off is the Dragon Mountain at Marineland in Niagra Falls.

Dollywood calls one of TT's elements a butterfly, but it is actually half a warped Boomerang stuck together with a regular verticle loop. Just a marketing/flashy term.

Swampfox, DM's Butterfly element looks cool. Seems like Arrow would have used this idea more. Does it have headbanging?

Yea I guess you could say it's a batwing. I've always called that a pretzel roll. A batwing is what is on Dueling Dragons Ice and on Raptor right? That's totally different than what's on TG. Sorry for the confusion.

^ That's a Cobra Roll. B&M, Busch Gardens Tampa, and Carowinds call the element on Montu and Top Gun a batwing. Confusing, isn't it. :)

A batwing is what is on TG and Montu. A cobra roll is what is on Dueling Dragons Ice, Raptor and Alpinegeist. This is at least what the elements are called on B&Ms, I have no Idea about arrows, except that vortex at PKI has a batwing.
