There will be. It goes to copperhead strike.

The lockers will be directly behind them. Nothing to see anyway but an ugly wall.

I remember when CS was in it's early construction phase, when people were still speculating. I even asked the announcer/ride op while riding the skytower (while getting good views of the land clearing) "What about the new coaster?" and he was trying to hide what it really was, since the announcement was in about a month.

We've come so far! two more weeks and still counting!

yeah. this is very alarming... according to the site a LOT of rides are closing!

The rides closing this season are as follows:
1. Electro Spin
2. Drop Tower
3. Ripcord
4.Slingshot
5. Yoyo

This isn't too good- with RRR being gone they're removing rides faster than they're adding them

Electro-Spin doesn't have any dates, but the other four do. Looks like they're closed on weekdays (mainly Fridays, but includes the whole week of spring break) until the park is open full time.

My guess: It's not necessarily for maintenance, but staffing. Since a large amount of their employees are college-aged kids (and late high school, I'd presume), they just don't have enough employees on weekdays to cover all the rides. They're going to keep the coasters and Camp Snoopy open, but keep the not-as-popular rides closed during that time.

I would imagine Electro-Spin's indefinite closure is related to maintenance (e.g. needs parts), but it's only been at the park for two years. I don't know exactly how old it is, considering it's used, but I can't imagine they'd be so quick to remove it.

Applicants are easy to come by.
Reliable employees are hard to keep, Unreliable employees are common but are just that unreliable.

I'd think a vast number of their employees are students, whether high school or college. These students can't be at the park at 9am on a Friday. Coupled with the low attendance due to school, it's one of the reasons they don't go full-week until the school districts end school (and why they're open during spring break).

I don't reasonably expect Carowinds to be able to find employees who are willing to take the job (hot summers, evening hours, probably lower pay) AND be available on weekdays.

Except for Drop Tower (and excluding Electro-Spin, which isn't in the 'closed weekdays' list), you're looking at the two 'pay to play' rides (Ripcord and Slingshot) and the "kid" swings. It's not like they're shutting down every flat ride in the park. The only thing I could reasonably expect them to do would be to rotate the closed rides - but again, you're only talking about one day a week.
