Was at the park this weekend and took some pictures of project 2019! All pictures were taken from guest areas.

10+ survey markers
Trees removed
The whole area is walled off.

Ride Windseeker for the best views of the area.

It wasn't easy to find. Unfortunately Google Maps isn't as friendly to Sweden as it is to North America, but I tried to recreate its footprint based off of these blueprints:

The acreage calculator gave me about 4.09 acres, so if they wanted to, they could fit a Wildfire-sized RMC in there:

Lol  Dive Coasters get too much hate, I love those things. Certainly not at the top of my wishlist but on there for sure.

It’d be at the bottom of my list. I’d rather not see another B&M as they tend to carry 52” to 54” height requirements which could alienate families. Though if they wanted to replace Nighthawk with a dive that goes under the lake, I’d be all for it.

I was able to go to Carowinds and went on the sky tower to get some pictures. Construction was active and they were digging up the old waterpark attraction area along with downed trees and many survey markers the only spot that I did not see a wall blocking all of this off was over near the queue at dodgems but you can only see the white waterfalls area there. I don’t expect to see any major work until the beguiling of June but something big is happening considering how early there starting construction.

I forgot tthe mention, there is a massive land clearing across the street from the exit by Carolina Harbor though it’s unrelated to Carowinds. Any idea on what it could be? A hotel? Shopping center? Another industrial building?

I don’t know I saw that also when I was heading out all I saw was the construction companies name.

Everything ain't for everybody. If you reasoning for not wanting to see a B&M coaster is because "families" can't ride it thats kinda crazy. In a park with multiple family attractions, three years of family additions back to back, one more ride for thrillseekers won't hurt anything. Besides, the average height of a 12 year old surpasses any height minimum at the park. You want them to make rides for only toddlers lol?

I never said I didn't want thrill rides in the park. It's just that most of the larger coasters carry 54" height requirements, which seems less accommodating for families when most of the large coasters at Dollywood carry 48"-50" requirements. With that being said, I know Dollywood doesn't have anything on the scale of Fury or Intimidator, but even the larger coasters such as Lightning Rod and Wild Eagle seem way more family-friendly in terms of height requirement.

First of all, Lightning Rod is absolutely on the scale of Fury and Intimidator.

Second, if higher height restrictions were bad for business, why do we keep seeing them pop up year after year?

Dollywood and Carowinds cater to much different demographics. Dollywood taunts their christian values and family oriented park, carowinds boast about having the tallest and fastest roller coasters and thrills. And what exactly is "family-friendly"? I know plenty thrill seeking families that love those big intimidating rides. A park being well rounded is what matters right? I don't think everything needs to be family oriented and im glad carowinds doesn't either. Camp snoopy does nothing for what I would consider the family I bring to the park. But that's just me.

But yeah, bring on those big thrill rides that 3 year olds can't ride lol.
