While you guys are talking about RMC'ing all our wooden coasters, I'll just drop these here again.

RMC Hurler

RMC Thunder Road

I found out that the scale for the Hurler one was actually pretty far off, so I might try doing that one again with more stuff.. And the Thunder Road one was made before Twisted Colossus was announced so I actually came up with that crossover on my own :P

Both of those layouts seems pretty uneventful to me. Not too much different than what it currently does...

I would have made Hurler's lift hill steeper (say 50*) and given it a higher drop, but kept the Medusa style twisting drop. That way it would be much faster. Then I would have added more to the layout and had it circle around again to make the layout seem much longer.

I think they would balk at the Thunder Road crossover because it would force them to run both trains every time and run it as a single ride with 2 stations. I suggest taking the same layout but do another crossover under the lift hill instead of a simple upside down maneuver using the same crossover technique that you used before the turnaround. That way, both coasters can still stand alone. Looks cool!

I think you should leave it the way it is in the animation but do away with one of the stations and then on a single ride you would traverse both sides going up the lift hill twice. This way you could run one train if you wanted or four trains and you would have the added benefit of making it the longest wooden coaster on the planet and the longest coaster period in North America. Now that has some marketing punch!

Has anyone noticed that the tube rental under Whitewater Falls looks like part of a pond or something? Perhaps that's a hint for next year's ride...

In reality that area is a wood deck, I believe it was built for a show and never used.

Just out of morbid curiosity, how often is the mini-golf area used?

I found this survey marker on Saturday. It's located between Action Theatre and Thunder Road. Have fun with speculations. Don't know if it's been posted.
Keep me posted. Will miss you all for a while. Hopefully all will turn out great.

When I was there today, the park moderately busy and it wasn't even open. Not sure if that was because it's Monday or what.

My wife and 10 year old played a game of Putt-Putt today and were the only people on the course.

^ this forum made me look the area over out of curiousity. it's the saddest, plainest, most pitiful excuse for a miniature golf course. forgot who proposed it, but the park better utilizing its general footprint would be a welcome move :)
