That would be spectacular, but it sits right next to the water park. With the dust/debris/ cloud it would cause they would be cleaning the water park for some time.

I do take some thing with a grain of salt only because I have a great relationship with the boss man and he's told my some things that I will let August tell you all. I'M STOKED. My friends think it's sad most employees know my name and face by heart. Apparently I got to Carowinds way to much. Lol

Does anyone know whats going on with RRR? While on Fury today I took a look and its been drained. You can see the concrete bottom of the trail/route.

If mike was willing to let the 2016 cat out of the bag to you (and not famousamous  ) I'm sure he could tell you what's wrong with RRR...just saying.

Dynamite + Water Park = Big Splash

I think that is almost certainly true Roller (Cedar Point executives make all capital improvement decisions).

But, I am certain that Mike is informed of what improvements Cedar Point is considering, before any decisions are made. He probably does not get a vote in making the decision, but he must be integral to inform them about how their decisions will likely impact Carowinds.

And once any significant decision is final (and this particular decision was probably made a long time ago), he absolutely must be informed of it entirely.

With any significant change to the park, he will need to do all kinds of things in preparation for making the change. And Mike is going to prepare for how the day-to-day operation of the park will be altered next season, too. Is he going to have to hire more maintenance folks? Is he going to have to negotiate a new contract with a landscaping company? Is he going to increase or reduce the number or ride-ops? Is TJmaxx going to be able to use Carowinds parking lot next winter? Is he going to have to get another food-service or liquor licence approved? When is he going to schedule local government building inspectors, utility work, etc? What kind of marketing is going to be needed for the new investment? The list of things he is going to have to do, once a decision is made, is just huge. He needs to know what decisions have been made, so he can do his job of managing the park.

They absolutely cannot make major changes while keeping him in the dark, even if he doesn't get a vote on the changes being considered.

It was just a thought me and some other guys were dicussing. I do know that Paramount Parks would give all five parks a list of rides they were considering and let the parks make the final decision. They also welcomed input from the parks on their respective futures. Paramount and Cedar Fair operate the park in nearly opposite ways.

Uh you sir I wouldnt say he let the cat out of the bag just some riddles lol... plus what mike told me was way before the park even opened, actually during the testing phase of Fury. RRR was somewhat ok then. I knew it would be closed during the week with weekend operations it's the norm, but to have it fully drained is just not the norm at least I dont think so. The last I spoke to boss man 3 weeks ago RRR was open there was no need to ask about it if it was open...
