school starts tomorrow I went to carowinds to end the summer. while waiting in line for the Intimidator the train got stuck on top of a hill. i had a chance to talk with two ride operators about Aug. 24, while one of the ride operators was really secretive, the other told me that the new ride was indeed a windseeker attraction that will be placed next to the intimidator in the big field next to the station.

El Dorado up for sale at KD!:

Park News - (8/29/11) I find it hard to believe but after just bringing El Dorado to Kings Dominion’s lineup in 2009 (importing it from the close Geauga Lake) the park is ready to part ways with the ride this October. How do we know this? Because the unique ride has been placed up for sale on Ital, with an October 2011 available date. Makes me wonder if they want to use the site for the rumored Windseeker for 2012.

^That would be a good place for windseeker although I'm sad to see El Dorado go. I wish they would relocate it somewhere else.

Just because it is for sale doesn't mean it will be removed after this season, it may not sale for years...look at Chaos at CP.

That is really a vast expanse of land now that Hypersonic is gone. If they removed El Dorado and maybe utilized the old Hypersonic station area as well, they could have enough room for something a lot more interesting than a Windseeker...

That area of the park has been lacking a bit since they took out Hypersonic. I don't see anything more interesting than a Windseeker for 2012. My gut feeling is that is what is coming for KD in 2012.

Maybe this is where they're thinking of putting in something for 2013?

It looks like most, if not all the Six Flags parks are announcing tomorrow what's new for next year.

i.e., which coasters they're relocating from one park to another...
